The space
Monte Vista Bespoke Luxury getaway was just completed in September 2023. Purpose built from the ground up to be a soulfully restorative getaway where each level of the home draws inspiration from different facets of Earth’s beauty-serene earth tones in the master suite, mountainous cave vibes in the lower level, and a harmonious blend of modern industrial and natural elements on the main floor. This home was professionally designed by Cornelia van den Houdt, of Studioroop who attended the prestigious Parsons School of Design in New York.
Monte Vista resides on 33 private acres, a journey down a 600ft wooded driveway leads visitors to a well lit guest parking area. Entry to this home is provided via a 65ft elevated trestle bridge that lays perfectly level for easy access. The excitement builds as you approach the front door and recognize the homes see through capability achieved through the massive glass garage door and the beautiful view that awaits. Immediately inside that door is an impeccably designed kitchen with professional appliances, an angled under mount sink, and quartz waterfall countertop. Open shelving, two tone cabinets, and floor to ceiling black oak acoustic wall paneling create this masterpiece. A maple 12ft bar top creates dining seating for 4. Pass by the beautifully appointed 1/2 bath on this level to reveal a concrete table under a nautical pendant light with accommodations for 4. Directly in front of you lies a custom bump-out bed area with nautical inspirations. Adorned with an authentic 3 dog ship portal window, a riveted wall, propellor ceiling fan, massive windows with amazing views, privacy screens, and a California king mattress this is the perfect spot to read a book or catch an afternoon nap. The open concept main living area is next featuring a 12ft glass garage door that seamlessly transitions the indoor and outdoor spaces. A wall mounted 65inch smart TV hangs above a remote controlled fireplace across from a leather sofa and handcrafted biophilic art piece. Sonos ceiling mounted speakers and three super comfortable accent chairs complete this space.
Step out the double door to reveal 536 square feet of covered porch with outdoor dining for 6 and a huge propane grill complete with a built in pizza oven. Just to your left is a unique clear egg shaped ceiling mounted swing that is so quiet inside you can literally hear yourself think. Turn the corner to the main deck to reveal the amazing view with 6 person elevated hot tub and fun modern lounge seating.
Moving upstairs you will notice a hanging handcrafted light fixture locally sourced from a West Virginia artist. Upon reaching the landing waits two twin size bunk beds with luxury bedding and black iron ladder with vaulted tongue and groove ceiling. Note this area is open and ideally used for kids or adventurous adults. The master bathroom features a 9ft wide shower boasting 13ft vaulted ceiling with dual opposing shower heads and large natural stone tiling feels monolithic in nature. Above the shower is a custom stone inspired chandelier. A beautifully appointed vanity, with tile wall backer and back lit mirror looks like a piece of art. Outside the master suite resides a coffee and wine bar complete with a mini fridge, snacks, and all the essentials. The master suite is absolutely gorgeous a locally crafted white maple “floating” under lit bed with California king mattress awaits you. Behind the bed is a beautiful wave accent wall made from white birch wood. Luxurious bedding, accent chairs, a 65inch wall mounted TV, floor to ceiling windows with penthouse panoramic mountain views make this a room you will never want to leave. Throw in beautiful full length black out curtains and you will be sleeping like royalty.
Venture down the stairs to the lower level to find a juxtaposed bedroom suite with dark mysterious tones and planet inspired light fixtures. A back lit slat wall reveals a LED moon light behind a plush king bed. Directly beyond the bed are accent chairs and another 65inch wall mounted TV. The views on this level are hardly less stunning and the floor to ceiling windows allow for lots of light that can be blocked out with equal length black out curtains. In the corner of the room sits a wood burning stove just in front of that a handmade ceiling mounted swings adds a beautiful decorative touch. Handcrafted art and Sonos ceiling mounted speakers set the ambiance. An en-suite bathroom with black herringbone tile, motion controlled back lit mirror, and gorgeous vanity add to the convenience and beauty of this level. A walkout door leads straight to the fire pit area or to a lower parking lot for easy load in and out. Immediately outside this door hangs two customized corn hole boards and a golf club for fun outdoor activities. As you journey to the fire pit you will notice Adirondack seating for 6, stacked firewood, a yeti ice bucket and 10ft circular stone fire ring. Moving beyond this area and toward the stone bordered walkway you will find a golf tee box specifically made for driving biodegradable golf balls off the side of the cliff! These balls were hand selected because of their ability to completely dissolve in two weeks. Venture to the corner of the field to find a cleared 1/2 mile path perfect for hiking or mountain biking that connects back near the front of the driveway.
***AWD vehicles are strongly recommended, Monte Vista is a 1.8 mile drive on a gravel road through a gated development. Please observe posted signage***

Entire home was created for guests, washer and dryer are accessible. Red locked storage cabinet in laundry room as well as the garage on property are off limits.

Bringing your own golf balls to hit off the mountain is strictly forbidden and will lead to immediate eviction without refund.
