Godre Berwyn is a charming character cottage, privately situated on a quiet lane in the centre of Llangollen. The restaurants, shops,river and activities are minutes away on foot so no need to drive. Uniquely for Llangollen, the cottage has private parking for 1 car additional parking 100 yards away. The cottage has been in our family for many years and has recently undergone a complete refurbishment inside and out. Believed to have been built in the mid 1600's, the cottage boasts a wealth of exposed beams and some exposed stonework, which along with the thick walls and uneven floors add some unique features. The sitting/dining room has a wood burning stove to make the cottage even cosier in the cooler months. On the ground floor is a fully equipped kitchen, a sitting /dining room and a small double bedroom complete with ensuite shower room. This room would also be suitable for guests with mobility issues. Stairs lead to a landing with many exposed beams (the stairs are a little steep) There is a large double bedroom and 2 good sized singles, along with a small newly refurbished family bathroom. At the rear of the property is a walled Mediterranean style courtyard, with seating, lighting and a BBQ. Llangollen has much to do and see-for the more active there is white water rafting,climbing canoeing,golf and walking from the front gate,with mountain biking a short drive away.Families will enjoy the canal boat and steam train rides as well as the riverside park. There is no need for a car,as all the activities,cafes bars and restaurants are all a short walk away,as are a great range of butchers,bakers,greengrocers,delis and covenience stores which are open 'til late. A welcome pack is provided and for stays of 1 week or more a complimentary bottle of wine. All bedding and Towels are included
