The Glyn Newydd homestead and cottage can be found 17 km south along Megalong road, overlooking the beautiful Megalong Valley with escarpment views.
This stunning accommodation is set on a 40 acre property which includes an organic olive grove, green paddocks with horses and an abundance of australian wildlife.
All this only 15 minutes away from Blackheath and 2 1/2 hours from Sydney.
The main house (homestead) has 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms and the house is heated by A ducted airconditioner and a fire place in winter, the thick walls and wrap around verandah keeps the house cool in summer.
The additional Cottage is available to rent when you come in with more then 6 people or if you are with a group where you need a bit more privacy. The cottage is next door to the homestead
The cottage has 2 bedrooms and is heated by a slow combustion wood heater in winter.
Glyn Newydd offers you everything you need to enjoy your stay. Take in the early morning sunrise over the valley and spot the kangaroos or enjoy a glass of wine watching the colors of the escarpment change to orange and red as the sun sets.
We grow olives on our property, they are grown the organic way
We grow olives for oil (Leccino and Frantic variety) and olives for table fruit (Kalamata, manzanillo and picholine)
There is usually a variety of produce available at the homestead for you to buy using the honesty system(cash)
For those who are more adventurous and active, you can explore the property and get to know the horses or walk your dog (yes , we are pet friendly !).
The valley offers a great variety of bush walks and has some of the best horse riding in the blue mountains.

The Homestead offers three large Bedrooms. The large main bedroom offers a queen bed and ensuite including shower and toilet. The other bedrooms include one queen sized bed and two single beds.

We are pet friendly, your dog can have a holiday too!!
But take care around our horses, they will not tolerate dogs chasing them, so best to keep your dog on the lead near them. And the local wildlife will also need to be protected from chasing dogs, it is the owners responsibility to control their pets .
