Positive: Fabulous find! The location in a central posh neighborhood (Chelsea), direct from Heathrow on the Underground; easy, uncrowded walk to King's Road and Sloane Square (I felt comfortable walking alone late at night); the drop-dead gorgeous Art Deco lobby; the helpful porters; the fact that abolitionist Frederick Douglass and a female spy who fought fascism were there; and the efficient layout of the flat on the 6th floor w/natural light. Management super responsive. The ability to cook a meal saved both money and time. Many options for grocers: a Whole Foods is planned nearby. The dryer was perfect for freshening my wools with travel dry-cleaning packets so that I could pack light. The ability to choose a specific accommodation: some Nell Gwynn reservations assign you a random flat, and the lower ratings seem to come from guests who had expected a different flat. This flat has well-deserved rave reviews. The building was designed in the 1930s as city flats for those who led a glamorous life in London, so I would imagine that they all had decór reflecting the owner's taste. I will book it again. Don't hesitate; it's booked for months.
Negative: No Wifi in the lobby but great Wifi in the flat.
Summary: Uncrowded yet lively Chelsea flat made economical w/ full kitchen, washer/dryer & superb transport.
