Gilboa Barn is an absolutely fantastic newly refurbished large and spacious holiday home with large grounds and a sparkling hot tub situated in the Cotswolds between Tetbury and Malmesbury. Set in three and a half acres of land Gilboa Barn is the ideal private hideaway for family gatherings and/or groups of friends, and sleeps up to 14 people. We can accommodate 16 people if necessary. The property is beautifully decorated with gorgeous paintings and is spacious and light and yet has a homely feel. The hot tub is wonderful and you can sip champagne under the stars whilst listening to your favourite music using our amazing speakers. We provide swimming towels and flip flops too! Wifi in the house is particularly fast and strong having been specially installed to cater for lots of people using it at once. The double height dining room, which overlooks the garden, seats up to 16 people, and is complete with a good quality blue tooth stereo system. The sunny lounge area/ living room is designed for comfort with large comfortable sofas, antique rugs, a bluetooth stereo system, and a wall mounted 49” digital 4K smart television with SKY above the fireplace. French doors lead out onto the garden. The fabulous Cotswolds stone floor kitchen is ideal for catering for large groups, and we can provide a list of great local chefs and caterers on request. There is a large ( 2 ovens and a warming drawer) AGA cooker, plus a separate electric fan oven, and an induction hob on the central marble topped island. In addition there is a dishwasher, microwave, a big fridge with small freezer, plus a wine fridge with plenty of room to chill your drinks! There is also a separate large freezer in the utility room with 3 bags of ice provided. We provide napkins, kitchen roll, bin liners, tea, coffee, salt, pepper, sugar, herbs and spices and there is plenty of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. There are 6 extremely gorgeous and comfy bedrooms with luxury cotton bedding, dressing gowns and towels. Each room has a hairdryer. There is a set of hair straighteners in the master bedroom. 1. Master bedroom. This large amazing bedroom is light and airy and has lovely view out onto the garden, along with private steps leading to the hot tub (which is also reached via the sitting room). The bedroom has a huge Emperor double bed (at least four people can comfortably lie on it), antique mirrored dressing table, walk in wardrobes, and a gorgeous antique roll top bath. There is an en-suite WC, and basin. There is also a TV with SKY, and a DVD player so you can watch telly or listen to music whilst lounging in luxury in the bath. 2. Lovely Large triple bedroom (3 single beds, 2 of which can be made into a double) situated on the ground floor, with French doors leading onto the lawn. TV with SKY. There is also a wood burning stove and a small pool table in the room. 3. Double boutique style bedroom (can be converted to twin) with a fabulous en suite bathroom, with bath, shower and WC. 4. Lovely country style triple bedroom (3 single beds/ or one single and a double bed) right next to a gorgeous bathroom with bath, shower and WC. 5. Twin country style beamed bedroom with barn style windows. The comfy beds can be turned into a double bed. 6. Double country style beamed bedroom with a stunning double brass bed. In addition, there are also three separate guest toilets. We also have a travel cot, baby changer and high chair on hand. There are three small beds for dogs. The kitchen leads on to a large South facing patio area, with large gas barbecue, and there is plenty of seating for all. In addition there is an adjacent lawned area with outdoor table tennis table and 14ft trampoline with safety net. There is also a small football pitch and a croquet lawn just beyond the lavender lined stream. The spacious gardens are well established, and maintained to a high standard, with many different seating areas with great views of the surrounding countryside. Croquet set. Table football, weights for fitness and plenty of board games. Pampering can be provided on request. Local attractions include lovely Cotswolds walks. Two beautiful historical towns are on the doorstep along with charming local pubs and restaurants, Tetbury, famed for its antiques ( 5 minutes drive), historic Malmesbury (5 mins drive) with its imposing Abbey and Abbey Gardens, Highgrove House-10 mins drive (The home Prince Charles and Camilla Duchess of Cornwall), famous and breath taking Westonbirt Arboretum, Local gyms, Spas, 11 near-by golf courses, Horse riding, tennis courts, stunning walks (including the Slad Valley made famous by the author Laurie Lee) The Cotswolds Water Park is nearby where you can swim, sail, go boating, wakeboard etc and is a huge hit with parents and their children. Bristol and Bath are about half an hour's drive and Cheltenham is 45 mins (famed for Cheltenham races and festival), all being amazing places to visit with great shopping, restaurants and museums and Bristol has some great night clubs. Badminton Horse Trials are very close by, as is Castle Combe racing circuit, City of Bath (30 mins), City of Bristol (30 mins), Cirencester (25mins) , Bibury (30 mins), Cheltenham and Cheltenham Races and festivals (45 mins). There are great taxi companies who can happily ferry people around but these need to be booked well in advance, as do tables in some pubs/restaurants. The M4 is close at hand (about 2 hours drive from London) and Kemble Station is 10 mins away (Direct train from London Paddington is 90 mins). Please be aware there is a refundable damage deposit of £750 required by credit transfer due one week before you stay that will be returned one week later as long as you adhere to the conditions on the booking form you will be emailed when you book. Sadly we cannot accept Hen parties or Stag parties.
