Positive: Stefania the host could not be more accommodating. They live there as a family, and just a few spacious apartments, all of which were empty so we had the place to ourselves. The welcome was beautiful, we had plenty of space and the run of the place really. Though the pool was not prepared as it was out of season, we liked that they invited us to use it (at our own risk of being cold - a British thing we're used to and definitely not an Italian thing!). Our family hosts were hospitable and warm throughout. Our children enjoyed playing with their children. Gorgeous people, near to pretty Umbertide and supermarkets and restaurants and gelateria etc all within 7-8 minutes drive. You definitely need a car as this is way up a hill not walkable to anything, but you are rewarded by the stunning views and skies. The apartment was comfortable for our short stay. As with many Italian properties we have stayed in over the last 2 months, kitchen equipment is basic and if you plan to cater at home, is ok for a few nights. We loved it and happy to recommend this place in the middle of nature, waking up to the music of birdsong and gentle breezes through the many trees. A restful break. And if you don't want to venture out in the evening there is a lovely-looking restaurant on-site (we didn't use it) but the chef roasts meat and vegetables on a real fire in the traditional way and the restaurant was cosy, atmospheric and warm. It looked most appealing, though the menu was more adult than kid-friendly, so we personally chose to cater for ourselves. We would definitely have had the steaks we saw though had we been there without our children!
Negative: Nothing. It was all within our expectations.
Summary: Wake up to bird song, rolling views, nature and peace. A warm, host keen to do well for you.
