Tranquility in the heart of the unspoiled Morvan countryside, nestled on the slopes of the famous Mont-Beuvray, 821m belvedere offering an extraordinary view (as far as Mont-Blanc!), occupied at its summit by the renowned "oppidum" of Bibracte, an ancient fortified Gallic town, one of the best preserved with its ramparts & districts extending over 200 ha (labeled "Grand Site de France"). Perched on an exposed plateau, in the heart of a remarkable protected site (ZNIEFF & "Natura 2000"), adjoining the verdant Méchet Valley and the Haut Folin, the highest point in Burgundy (901m), the village enjoys a magnificent, unspoiled rural and natural setting in the gentle mountains. A very comfortable cottage. Warm country character with contemporary accents, enhanced by the soul of an old residence (stone fireplace mantel, beams, stone walls with a manger and hay rack, etc.).
