A comfortable secure flat in interesting converted Historic Brickworks in Brunswick. Close to Sydney Road, lots of pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants, plenty of public transport in every direction and on the correct side of the city for the airport. Brunswick has more than its fair share of Melbourne's best eateries and the location is extremely well served by public transport. Buses stop at the front door which you can jump on if you want to get to Sydney Road or connect you to wherever you are headed, Carlton, the CBD and St Kilda Beach included. Two train stations are a 10 minute walk with a 15 minute ride to the CBD. It is a 2 minute walk to trams taking you to Melbourne Zoo and Melbourne University and the CBD. We provide MYKI cards for public transport for you to use throughout your stay, If you use them then please just top them up at any Post Office or 7/11 to cover the cost. The complex is large, interesting and still growing. It backs onto a lovely park with a walking/jogging track, a play area, free BBQs and table tennis table (bats and balls come with the apartment). There are sports fields, a cheap public gym and swimming pool (inc. Sauna and whirlpool) and group fitness glasses. The area is great for an early morning jog or evening stroll. The apartment is cosy, modern and very comfortable for up to 5 (2 double beds and a sofa that sleeps 1 in the front room). It has great heating for Melbourne winters and powerful/silent ceiling fans for the summer. Both bedrooms have a double bed and comfortable bedding for the couch if required. The apartment is located at the front of the building facing the courtyard. Entry out apartment is up a short flight of stairs – entry to the apartment is on the 1st floor and has security doors for entry. In fine weather you can leave the door open and enjoy the fresh air (through the locked screen door) from the balcony which has lots of plants and a small seated area. You can also smoke here with an ashtray if you wish. Brunswick is very multicultural and generally safe and sits on the northern edge of the city neighbouring Carlton, Parkville, Fitzroy and Coburg. It is an extremely diverse area only 7 klms from the CBD. Over the last few years it has extended into a lively, vibrant place to enjoy all sorts of different cuisine and night life – there is something for everybody.
