FROGLETS PROFILE Dating from the 18th Century, and situated in picturesque East Street in the centre of Rye, Froglets is a most charming Grade Two listed cottage. Unusually spacious, it comfortably sleeps up to six people , and is one of the few three-bedroom cottages to be found in the Rye Citadel. Offering the best of old world charm coupled with all modern amenities, Froglet’s cosy sitting room even has a traditional brick fireplace providing guests with warming, real log fires ( an initial supply of logs and coal is provided in winter months ). Full of delightful quality furnishings, comfortable beds and sofas, and numerous antiques, Froglets offers everything to ensure our guests enjoyment and comfort – TV’s, Video & DVD Player, CD Player, Radio and free WiFi access. The spacious kitchen-breakfast room is fully fitted and equipped with all contemporary utilities - oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, and an extensive range of cooking equipment and tableware. The antique pine table easily sits six people for breakfast. Unlike many ancient cottages, the three bedrooms are located on the first floor, and are easily accessed by a traditional staircase. This gives the cottage the added advantage of making it safe and suitable for all age groups. All of the bedrooms are charming and comfortably furnished with generous storage space. Two of them have double beds and TV, and the third bedroom offers a single bed which can be extended to a double if required. Located on the first floor, the bright family bathroom features a full size bath with mixer taps and shower attachment, low level toilet and hand basin. Converted from the old pantry, there is a small characterful study off the sitting room, with writing desk and shelves, games, cards and reading books for guests entertainment. Leading to the back courtyard, is a spacious hallway offering plenty of space for storing beach and holidays items (Coats, shoes, boots etc .) There is also a book case with a good selection of books for keen readers. At the rear of the cottage is a small walled courtyard area, with table and chairs – a perfect place to relax in good weather. (Also a useful space for drying clothes and other items.) There is some limited parking outside the cottage. Froglets is a perfect base for exploring Rye!
