We reside on the topmost hill overlooking fabulous Georgetown Lake approximately 18 miles west of Anaconda, Montana and 15 miles south of Philipsburg, Montana. We are just down the hill from one of the most popular ski areas in Montana--Discovery Ski Area. It would be our pleasure to welcome you as a guest. We are located just a short distance off the beautiful Pintler Veterans' Memorial Scenic Highway ~ Montana Highway 1 ~ halfway between Anaconda and Philipsburg. Forest Edge Inn features 7 suites with 6 and 1/2 baths. We offer sunsets beyond compare and beautiful 360° views overlooking the Pintler Mountain Range, Georgetown Lake, as well as the farmland and ranches of the Flint Creek Valley below. The property offers 20 acres for short hikes and a lovely forest perfect for a picnic in the woods. Guests enjoy a fully equipped gourmet kitchen to prepare any size meal--from sandwiches to that full-course evening gala. State-of-the-art is the best description for this kitchen. There's also a large grill on the elevated deck for those outdoor barbecues. Sitting in the living room in front of a beautiful rock fireplace warming your toes, reading, visiting with friends or just to nap is an ultimate pleasure. Guests may dine in the dining or sun room, or al fresco on the elevated deck overlooking the Pintler mountains and Flint Creek Valley! The Sun Room is the perfect, comfy place to sit and read a book, watch the snowflakes fall, enjoy a meal, soak in the sun or be entranced by an unbelievable sunset or gentle snowfall. The media room sports a large flat screen TV with DVD player and movie collection, as well as a player piano that can be set up for retreats and conferences. Sink into plush comfort here and sit back to enjoy the show! The Inn overlooks Georgetown Lake and the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness. Guests experience spectacular views from any of the upper rooms. There are 3 golf courses within a forty five minute drive, including Old Works Golf Club, a Troon built course designed by Jack Nicklaus, in Anaconda. Whatever you fancy, it's just a short drive away! Georgetown Lake is a popular recreation area for boating, fishing, camping, kiteboarding and windsurfing. It is a large, 3,000 acre, high mountain lake above 6,000 feet. The lake is surrounded by the Flint Creek Range to the north and the Pintlers to the south. At Georgetown Lake, Kokanee salmon is the most sought after species, followed by rainbow trout. In winter, Georgetown Lake is used for ice fishing, kite-boarding and snowmobiling. Easily accessible from Montana Highway 1, the Pintler Veterans Memorial Scenic Highway, Georgetown Lake is located approximately 18 miles west of Anaconda and 15 miles south of Philipsburg, Montana. Georgetown Lake has four public boat ramps, public rest rooms and easy access for swimming, fishing and playing. Camping is available around the Lake at a number of National Forest campgrounds. Access to lodging, restaurants, casinos and a beautiful marina make Georgetown Lake the perfect Summer, Fall, Winter & Spring playground for everyone. Georgetown Lake is a mid-sized lake in the southwestern area of Montana. The lake features plentiful snow and nice hills on the north shoreline. The wind is usually side shore, coming up by 11AM and lasting till dark. The lake plays host to many kite-boarding events and welcomes anyone wanting to catch some air. Georgetown Lake is one of Montana’s premier blue ribbon fisheries offering nearly year round angling for trophy rainbow and brook trout and Kokanee salmon. With an average depth of 16 feet, the lake is relatively shallow and much of the lake bottom is weedy. Whether you are fishing, sailing, jet skiing or boating, the lake is beautifully clear and clean. Fabulous any time of year. St. Timothy's Memorial Chapel is an ecumenical ministry above Georgetown Lake. The Chapel is open for 12 Sundays each Summer. The magical views provide a wonderful venue for weddings.
