You can relax at our holiday cottage even though you are located in the heart of Looe, Cornwall. At Foam Cottage you can unwind in a quiet and comfortable home, 1 minute from the beach and restaurants. There is a family room on the first floor, a large double bed and a Jaybe fold up bed. The second floor has twin bedded accommodation. Both bedrooms have a toilet adjacent, the shower room by the family room and the bathroom by the twin bedded room. A holiday in Looe is perfect for young families and couples of all ages. We have been visiting Looe as a holiday destination for over 45 years ourselves. First as single adults, then as a married couple, then with our children and now with our grandchildren. It really is a destination that satisfies the needs of all ages. Very often we stay in Looe for two weeks with no need to venture out, there is so much to do in the town, beach, harbour and river. Foam Cottage was built in 1880 as a superior town residence by Captain Skentelbury as his main residence . Over the years, it served as a home, a cafe (called the Coffee Pot), a hairdresser’s salon and a for the last 20 years, a holiday cottage. It features high ceilings and regular staircase, making it unusual for a Cornish cottage. A town house with a cottage feel. We use the cottage on a regular basis, staying for a week a month right through the year, it is our second home. Foam Cottage has two spacious bedrooms, a walk-in shower and a large luxury bath. Each bedroom is on its own level with an adjacent WC and bath shower effectively making them en suite. We completely renovated the cottage in 2016, bringing it right up to date with heating and soundproofing. The holiday cottage looks out onto the busy Higher Market Street at the front whilst backing onto the peace and quiet of Middle Market Street at the rear. Vehicles can't easily access the web of lanes that make up the ancient fishing quarter. The rear basks in the sun pretty much all day. You can enjoy a coffee or a book basking in the sunny peace and quiet on our rear bench. So here we have it, peace and quiet all just one minute from the sandy beach, one minute from the busy quayside and one minute from all the shops and restaurants that anyone could want. A perfect Holiday Cottage!
