This home sits on a cliff-edged lot and the owner does not want any accidents. No exceptions.* Fishbones is located on the Northeast of the island, just about 2 miles west of the Morritt's and Wyndham Reef Resorts. Fishbones is truly an ultra-luxe villa inside and out. Professionally designed and expertly decorated with exquisite furniture, drapes and decor this home will make you feel like royalty. Step through the foyer and into an expansive living, dining and kitchen area that leads onto a large screen porch for gorgeous water views. The screened lanai overlooks a stunning pool that leads down to a private path for excellent reef-protected snorkeling and swimming over a shallow, sandy bottom. This home does not have a sandy beach, however, there is a sandy cove on the nearby adjacent vacant lot, plus two resorts open to the public that offer sandy barefoot beaches. Fishbones enjoys amazing elevated Caribbean views of multi-colored waters with rare spottings of eagle rays and turtles in the shallow reefs. Views are interrupted only by the occasional dive boat mooring on a popular dive site just outside the reef. The villa's windowed 3rd floor cupola is a great place to watch sunsets and allows sunshine to pour into the villa and down the spiral stairs. Trade wind breezes can keep the house cool during winter evenings when you want to turn off the A/C and open the villa to the sound of waves crash on the shore below. ***Fishbones's Bedroom Configuration*** (Sleeps 6 guests total) -- Oceanfront Master Suite: Beachfront suite with a king bed, door to the screened porch, TV, ocean views, and an ensuite bath with a soaking tub -- Queen Bedroom #1: Oceanfront suite with a queen bed, door to the balcony, ocean views, and a shared bath down the hall -- Queen Bedroom #2: Oceanfront suite with a queen bed, door to the balcony, ocean views, and a shared bath across from the bedroom ***Fishbones Notable Features*** -- Stunning elevated pool and pool deck! -- Poolside loungers and hammock cabana are perfect for soaking up the sun, or napping in the shade. -- Stone pathway down to excellent, reef-protected snorkeling. A healthy marine environment awaits so we advise guests to wear pool shoes or fins when they go exploring. -- Living area features a large, comfortable sectional and large HDTV for everyone to enjoy after a day of sun and surf. -- Indoor and outdoor dining tables seat six-one in the dining area, and one on the screened porch for al fresco dining with a view. -- Modern gourmet kitchen with top of the line appliances. Keurig coffeemaker, dishware, utensils, and cookware provided. -- The first-floor oceanfront master king suite opens onto the pool deck and comes furnished with large HDTV and an oversized soaking tub in private bathroom. -- The two second-floor queen bedrooms share a large bath and open onto the second-floor balcony offering panoramic ocean views. -- Upstairs loft area features a small office with desk for guests who need to work during their stay. -- Third floor Captain's Watch cupola provides brilliant views and is perfect for sunset watching. -- Gated and walled property offers guests plenty of privacy. With a first floor king master suite, and two second floor queen bedrooms with shared bath, Fishbones accommodates up to 6 adults comfortably. *Notes: 1) A Cleaning Fee may be required due to enhanced cleaning, sanitation, and inspection protocols. 2) Silver Thatch kayaks available for discounted rental. Signed waiver and 5 day minimum required with 6th and 7th day free: US$39 per day per kayak ($195 per week/each). Paddles included. ================================ ***Deposit & Payment Schedule*** -- For bookings made outside of 60 days prior to arrival, a 50% deposit (of rent only) is due in order to confirm your booking. The remaining 50% balance plus taxes and fees is due 60 days prior to arrival. -- For arrivals within 60 days, the entire balance is due in order to confirm your booking. ***Villa Cleaning & Sanitation*** -- We're committed to the health and safety of all our guests and have adopted enhanced cleaning safeguards to suppress the spread of COVID-19. All villas are cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival using health agency-approved cleaners and disinfectants. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products. -- Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival on-island. ***Cancellation Policy*** RELAXED CANCELLATION POLICY ON ALL BOOKINGS MADE AFTER MARCH 14, 2020. 1). Once guests signed rental contract is confirmed with 50% (of rent) deposit, should guest cancel in writing prior to 60 days of arrival, half of the initial deposit (25% of rent) will be refunded to the card on file, less a 3.50% processing/admin fee. Should villa owner be able to replace the reservation in whole or in part, the (prorated) un-refunded balance of the initial deposit will be returned less any re-booking costs incurred. Should the owner not be able to replace the reservation, the balance of the initial deposit is forfeited. PANDEMIC/EPIDEMIC EXCEPTION: Should a declared Pandemic or Epidemic prevent reasonable travel options to the destination, the guest may cancel and the entire initial deposit will be refunded, less a processing/admin fee of 3.50%. 2). Once full payment has been made (or the 60-day mark has passed and the guest has not paid the balance), should guest cancel in writing, GCVC will refund any occupancy taxes, cleaning fees and refundable damage deposits to the card on file. The dates will be opened on the calendar for rebooking. Should the reservation be replaced in whole or part, the guest will receive up to 100% of monies paid less rebooking charges incurred. Should GCVC not be able to replace the reservation, rent and service fee will be forfeited; however, guest will receive a credit for 50% of rent paid to be used for a similar stay at the same property, taken within 13 months of the original date of arrival. PANDEMIC/EPIDEMIC EXCEPTION: Should a declared Pandemic or Epidemic prevent reasonable travel options after full payment, the guest may cancel up until day of arrival and all payments will be refunded, less a 3.50% processing/admin fee. HURRICANE WARNING EXCEPTION: Should a hurricane warning (not a hurricane watch) affect Grand Cayman's ability to welcome guests; the guest will have the option of rescheduling the trip with generous owner flexibility or a full 100% refund of all monies paid with no deduction. 3). We strongly advise the purchase of CSA trip interruption insurance to indemnify the risk of cancellation, weather delay, airline interruption, medical reason for non-travel, etc. Please know that very few insurers will cover a declared pandemic. ***Rate Details*** -- 13% Occupancy Tax added to all rates. -- 10% Guest Service Fee includes your Silver Thatch Membership. -- Guest Service Fee is capped at 10 days for extended stays. -- Owner requires a refundable cleaning and damages deposit of $1,000 ***Booking Rules*** -- All guests must be 18+ only (no children). -- 5 nights minimum stay required. -- 6 nights minimum and full occupancy required over Thanksgiving week. -- 7 nights minimum (weekend-to-weekend) stay required over Christmas and New Year's week. -- Christmas & New Year's dates are split into two rental periods. The next-door beach is also always available for your use. ***Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed*** Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally. Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency in recent years. Although sargassum is an unsightly nuisance, it is largely seasonal in summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival. Should sargassum be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation. We try our best to work around mother nature. ***Silver Thatch Guest Services*** The 10% Guest Service Fee includes your Silver Thatch Membership.
