This detached riverside cottage in Symonds Yat sleeps nine people in four bedrooms. Ferryside is a detached cottage in a superb riverside setting in Symonds Yat. The cottage has four bedrooms, including one on the ground floor and one with an en-suite, along with a bathroom, shower room, kitchen with dining area, dining room and sitting room with woodburning stove. Outside is off road parking for three cars, and a riverside garden with patio and furniture. Ferryside is perfectly placed for relaxing and enjoying this very special location, including the famous Symonds Yat rock above, and a local pub accessed by a chain foot-ferry! Or head out to enjoy the countryside, with the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons and Forest of Dean waiting to be discovered. Amenities: Oil central heating with woodburning stove. Oil-fired Rayburn, separate electric hob, combi microwave/oven, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV with Sky, DVD, radio with Bluetooth, iPod dock, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 3 cars in lay-by opposite cottage. Small lockable area for 2-3 bikes. Lawned riverside garden with patio and furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1 mile, pub 5 mins walk. Note: Garden is open to the fast flowing river, children to be supervised. Note: The pub is accessed via a chain foot-ferry across the river, which runs until closing time. Note: Cottage accessed via a road which can get narrow in places and is accessed via a flight of external steps. Note: The council have shut the normal access road down to Ferryside due to subsidence. Unfortunately the only access road coming into the property now has a pinch point of 1.9M which prevents many larger cars from getting through and will not be resolved until end of June 2020. Region: Herefordshire offers visitors the chance to journey through lush green countryside, enjoying splendid black-and-white timbered villages, a magnificent cathedral city, a fairytale Georgian castle at Eastnor or books galore in famous Hay-on-Wye.
