Herzlich Willkommen im Wein- und Erholungsort Auggen im Markgräflerland! Das Gemeindegebiet von Auggen erstreckt sich von der Rheinebene (zum Rhein sind es 6 km) mit ca. 220 ü.M. mit den Feldern, Äckern und Obstanlagen bis zu den Eichen- und Buchenmischwäldern mit bis zu 460 ü.M. des südlichen Schwarzwaldes. Dazwischen liegen die Reben mit den Weinbergslagen "Schäf" und "Letten", die als das "Gold unseres Dorfes" bezeichnet werden. Der Wein-und Erholungsort Auggen liegt eingebettet in die Rebberge und zählt heute 2.700 Einwohner. Von weitem ist schon die 1835 im Weinbrennerstil erbaute Kreuz Kirche mitten in den Reben zu erkennen. Der Ort lebt heute noch überwiegend vom Weinbau mit einer Rebfläche von rd. 250 Hektar. Angebaut werden neben den klassischen 13 Rebsorten inzwischen auch international anerkannte Rebsorten wie Chardonnay und auch immer mehr Neuzüchtungen wie z.B. die Rotweinsorte "Regent". Die Hauptrebsorte ist in Auggen aber die "Gutedelrebe". Auggen gilt als die größte Gutedel-Gemeinde Deutschlands. Bedingt durch die Lage, eingebettet in die Rebberge, am Rande des westlichen Schwarzwaldes, beisitzt Auggen eine hohe Lebens- und Freizeitqaulität. Zahlreiche Spazier- und Wanderwege mit speziellen Lehrpfaden wie einen Weinlehrpfad und einen Waldlehrpfad, laden Sie zum Wandern, Nordic-Walking oder einfach nur zum Spazierengehen ein. Auch der gewöhnliche Radfahrer oder der Mountainbiker kommt auf seine Kosten und kann sich "austoben". Natürlich kommen auch die kleinen Gäste auf einem der zahlreichen Spielplätze z.B. im Pfarrgarten oder bei den Sportanlagen voll auf ihre Kosten und finden Gelegenheit sich aktiv zu bewegen. Zu Ausflügen im Dreiländereck D ? F ? CH laden die Städte Basel-CH (ca. 30 km), Mullhouse-F (ca. 25 km) und die Schwarzwaldhauptstadt Freiburg (ca. 44 km) ein. Auch Deutschlands schönster und größter Freizeitpark, der Europa Park in Rust ist in nur 45 Min. über die A 5 gut erreichbar. Wer den Schwarzwald mit dem Titisee, den Feldberg, Belchen oder den Markgräfler Hausberg den Blauen besuchen will, findet in Auggen einen guten Ausgangspunkt sowohl mit dem PKW, dem Fahrrad oder mit der Bahn mit günstigen Tages-/Tourismustickets.
