Unser Weingut liegt in wunderschöner Landschaft inmitten der Natur. Hinter dem Haus ist einer unserer Weinberge; die Lage "Auer Altberg". Von hier aus können Sie direkt zur Wanderung des Naturlehrpfades Hexental oder auf den Bettlerpfad starten. Wunderschöne Fahrrad-Touren starten Sie direkt ab unserem Hof. Zum Bahnhof Freiburg sind es gerade mal 3,5 Km und in die Innenstadt 5 Km.Den Schwarzwald also Schauinsland und Feldberg, erreichen Sie über Horben direkt am Ortsausgang von Au links abbiegend, sehr schnell. Au liegt im Dreiländereck, so dass Sie nach Basel in der Schweiz (65 Km) oder Colmar in Frankreich (35 Km), einen Abstecher machen können. Au ist auch das Tor zum Markgräflerland. Kulinarisch sind Sie in Südbaden bestens aufgehoben.
Die Natur hat es gut mit uns gemeint. Die Landschaft rund um unsere Ferienwohnungen und unser Weingut ist wunderschön. Südlich von Freiburg liegt Au im Hexental am Fuße der Ausläufer des Schauinsland und des Schönbergs. Einen Katzensprung (4 km) entfernt von Freiburg und in direkter Nähe zur Rheinebene mit ihrem fast mediterranen Klima. Umgeben von Wäldern, Wiesen und blühenden Sträuchern, in leichter Hanglage, unterhalb der Reben, steht unser Weingut Wissler mit zwei schönen Ferienwohnungen. Auf der nach Osten liegenden Erdterrasse mit Blick auf den Weinberg können sie die ersten Sonnenstrahlen der aufgehenden Sonne genießen. Dies könnte ein guter Auftakt sein für ihre Unternehmungen während des Tages. Vielleicht haben sie Lust, auf schönen Wanderwegen die Höhen des Schwarzwaldes zu erkunden. Oder sie machen einen Einkaufsbummel in Freiburg, auch mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln möglich. Die Bushaltestelle ist gerade mal 200 m von unserem Weingut entfernt. Tagsüber und abends hat Freiburg einiges zu bieten: Jede Menge Events, Ausstellungen, Museen, Theater, Kino und viele Restaurants und Kneipen, eben das ganze südbadische Flair der bekannten Universitätsstadt. Das Freiburger Münster mit dem legendären Münsterplatz lockt viele Touristen an. Ab dem 1. Advend bis 23. Dezember, findet auf dem Rathausplatz jedes Jahr der Freiburger Weihnachtsmarkt statt. Mit vielen handwerklich gefertigten Geschenken, Leckereien und natürlich mit " Badischem Glühwein ". Genauso empfiehlt sich ein Ausflug an den Kaiserstuhl und über den Rhein nach Frankreich. Das Elsass ist 30 km entfernt. Städte wie Colmar, Mulhouse oder Straßburg sind immer einen Besuch wert. Oder ein Ausflug in die Schweiz? Basel ist in einer knappen Autostunde oder auch mit dem Zug zu erreichen. Unser Wohnort Au ist das Tor zum Markgraeflerland. Das Markgraeflerland , auch die Toskana von Süddeutschland genannt, ist die Heimat des Gutedel. Eine Traubensorte, die nur hier angebaut wird und zu den ältesten Rebsorten überhaupt gehört. Hinter unserem Haus wächst der Gutedel in der kleinsten Einzellage des Markgraeflerlandes, " Auer Altberg ". Natürlich umfasst unser Angebot auch Sorten wie Müller-Thurgau, Weißburgunder, Grauburgunder, Traminer und Riesling. Dieses Frühjahr haben wir auch in der Lage "Auer Altberg " Sauvignon blanc Reben neu angepflanzt. Staufen, Schliengen, Britzingen und Mülheim sind typische Weinorte im Markgraeflerland, wo man auch von kulinarischer Seite sich verwöhnen lassen kann. Die Thermen in Bad Krozingen, Badenweiler und Bad Bellingen, lassen jeden Regentag zu einem Wellness - und Wohlfühltag werden. Ausflugstipps, Prospekte und Karten sind in jeder Fewo im Ausflugsordner. Sie wollen sich einfach ausruhen, vielleicht in Ruhe ein Buch lesen und so nach und nach alle unsere Weine durchprobieren, dann sind sie bei uns auf jeden Fall gut aufgehoben. Jede Wohnung ist 45 qm groß und für 2-3 Personen geeignet. Zwei Zimmer, Küche, Dusche, WC, Balkon und Terrasse, Telefon, Kabelfernsehen, Internetanschluß (W-LAN), Radio, CD und auf Wunsch ein Kinderbett. Bettwäsche und Handtücher sind inklusiv. Hinweis: Haustiere sind bei uns nicht erlaubt.
