2 Bedroom Condo in Center Conway
"The Rest" is a bright and spacious 2nd floor corner unit surrounded by trees, that comfortably sleeps up to 6 people. An ideal place to simply relax, or use as a base to explore everything the White Mountains have to offer!
We do not permit any form of smoking inside the condo or on the surrounding decks so please respect this if you would like to stay.
No pets are allowed - no exceptions!
There is a security camera overlooking the front door for our joint protection.
There are approximately 12 stairs up to the front door and no elevator.
There is NO air conditioning but there are ceiling fans in all living areas and portable fans (2 high velocity, 1 standard) available. All rooms have window shades and energy efficient curtains to keep them warm during winter and cool during summer. Every room has its own heating. The water heater has a heat pump system with a small compressor that vents a little cool air from above the laundry area (daytime only).
The two large sofas in the living area comfortably seat 6 people in total. The dining area has a table and 6 chairs; there are folding chairs for use on the balcony deck (kept in the large storage box outside) but these can also be used inside for extra seating. There is also a folding table that can be used inside or out. We do not own a barbecue (outdoor) grill. Grills must not be used on the balcony / decks.
Internet access (up to 400 Mbps) with free WiFi throughout the condo, Roku 4K HDR TV in the living area, Smart TV with Roku in the master bedroom and TV/DVD combo with Roku in the guestroom.
There are board games and playing cards.
The (unsupervised) pool and recreational facilities are usually open from June to September, weather permitting.
The rooms, all linens and towels are professionally cleaned before and after every rental in order to confidently promote the safety and comfort of our guests, and to ensure the excellent standards experienced by previous guests are maintained.
Bed linens, blankets and comforters, towels (including beach towels for use at the Saco river and pool) are all provided for use during the stay.
Paper towels, cleaning spray, cloths and hand soap are all supplied.
Toiletries, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, dishwasher detergent, food and beverages are NOT supplied but may be left by previous guests.
Conveniently located in a quiet setting between the villages of Center Conway, NH and Fryeburg, ME. The condo building is 200 yards from the Saco River with private access and seasonal beach.
It's close to ski areas, shopping, snowmobile trails, walking trails and visitor attractions.
Part of the Mount Washington Valley, North Conway is a 10 minute ride away with Walmart, Hannaford and Shaw's, plus Settler's Green Outlet Shopping.
The town has a vast selection of local stores, restaurants, cafes, bars, banks, pharmacies and a cinema, plus numerous attractions including Diana's Bath scenic area, Echo Lake State Park, Conway Scenic Railroad, MWV Children's Museum and more.
Story Land is about a 25 minute ride and a bit further out is the Mount Washington Auto Road and Mount Washington Cog Railway. There are several ski areas (alpine and XC) within an hour's ride including Pleasant Mountain, Cranmore (< 20 mins), King Pine, Attitash, Wildcat (< 40 mins), Bretton Woods, Loon and Cannon Mountain. Sunday River is just over an hour out.
The Maine border is approx 3 minutes' drive away, also with stores, restaurants and activities. The annual Fryeburg Fair can be reached in 10 minutes and Hardy Farm wedding venue is also 10 minutes away in Fryeburg.
With over 1200 miles of non-motorized trails, hiking opportunities abound in the White Mountains National Forest from easy strolls into the wooded environment to challenging climbs above treeline.
