Summary: We rented this home in Bushkill, PA for 6 nights because it was close to the venue of my son’s wedding in Mt. Bethel, PA, it was large enough to accommodate friends and family coming by for 1-3 days each, before and/or after the wedding, and it was in a development with swimming pools, playgrounds, and other activities for both children and adults. The home was extremely clean and nicely decorated. The main floor had large dining and kitchen tables, a stocked, modern kitchen, a living room with lots of comfortable seating, a spacious family room with childrens games, a large TV, a daybed with trundle, and sofa bed, the master bedroom and full bath, a half bath, and a deck off the dining room. The second floor had 3 bedrooms with very comfortable queen sized beds and a full bath. The basement was huge, with a spacious game room, table and chairs, couch, kitchen, laundry room, half bath, and the door to the garage. There were ample sheets, blankets, and towels in various closets throughout the house. There were also a number of rolled up futons, folded beds, and at least one air mattress available. I was the hostess and used the kitchen to prepare meals. My son and grandchildren explored the kiddie pool and playground and had a great time. The development is beautiful and full of wildlife; drive slowly at night. It’s a gated community but I was able to have Instacart deliver groceries. I came and went at all hours of the night without a problem, but you do have to use a different entrance after 10 pm. Communication with Joan was excellent. We messaged each other many times before, during, and after our stay. Exact details needed for check-in and check-out were provided and all the guests were able to come and go without a hitch. One thing to note but should be obvious from the photos- you have to walk up a lot of steps to get to the front door. If stairs are a big problem, one could enter around back through the deck entrance, but someone else would have to enter through the front door to let them in. I would definitely stay at this property again!
