Positive: The condo was tastefully decorated with a few of the pieces being new, the paint colors are very pretty, especially with the freshly painted white floor molding. The rooms were accessorized with nautical themed items that were just right for the setting. Hall bathroom is very nice, large mirror and plenty of adequate light over the vanity. This bathroom is a good size and very clean. All kitchen appliances in working order. The four high top bar chairs were a nice addition to the dining table seating. Very nice having a supply of towels available for the pool area.
Negative: FOR THE OWNER: The closet in our bedroom (2 queen beds) was filled top to bottom with what appeared to be excess flooring and the top shelf filled with extra pillows. The closet door wouldn’t completely close. Also storing room occupants suitcases was impossible, thus we used what little space was available in the already small room with two queen beds, a chest with 3 drawers and one night stand to store empty luggage. As for adequate lighting in that room, one small lamp with low wattage bulb was far from sufficient considering there was no over lighting or a ceiling fan. Thank goodness I bought a small floor fan from home, that of course, took up valuable floor space. The broken handle on the sliding glass door was a constant headache each time anyone wanted to access the balcony. I can’t decide which was more frustrating to deal with, the fact that the door was very hard to open or to close due to the metal track was bent in at least two or 3 places. When we called the owner, she promptly handled the tremendous amount of bird droppings stuck to the indoor/outdoor carpet on the balcony. This was appreciated. Quite a few of the Places on the carpet still had droppings that did not come out when cleaned. I suggest replacing the carpet. FOR THE RESORT: The kiddie pool in the same area as the Tikki Hut and lazy river was not monitored to be sure that older children who looked 8 to 10 years old were not allowedd to take over a pool meant for young toddlers. Should be no surprise rise that parents did not take that responsibility. Perhaps because there were no age limits signs posted.
