Just ten minutes from world famous First Monday Trade days, this home has 6 bedrooms and four baths, a beautiful great room, gourmet kitchen, and spacious dining room. The resort pool in the back yard also has a hot tub for your enjoyment. The property is perfect for your East Texas getaway, First Monday shopping spree, ladies' retreat, family reunion, corporate retreat, or private party. The house is equipped for sixteen, but there is space for air beds if you choose to bring them. We can customize the arrangement of your sleeping spaces to suit your group's individual needs! Downstairs Rooms sleep: Master - 4 (king and pullout queen) Queen - 2 Kids Room - 4 (twin over full bunk and additional twin) Upstairs Rooms sleep: Bedroom 4 - 4 (king, twin loft bed, pull out chair) Bedroom 5 - 4 (queen bed and queen pullout sofa) Bedroom 6 - 4 (queen bed, twin loft bed, futon) We also have several twin air mattresses and two toddler cots available for Complete Room Descriptions: *The downstairs master bedroom: king bed and queen pullout sofa. Private bath with jacuzzi tub and separate shower. *The downstairs queen bedroom sleeps two in a queen bed, and is adjoining a shared bathroom, with a jacuzzi tub, that opens onto the Great Room. *The downstairs kids room has a twin over full bunkbed, and an additional twin bed, sleeping 4, and the room has a selection of toys for little ones. *Upstairs Bedroom 4 has a king bed, a wall loft twin with ladder access, and a pull out chair bed. The room has a private bathroom with combo tub/shower. *Upstairs bedroom 5 sleeps 2 on a queen bed and has a queen pullout sofa bed. It does not have a private bathroom, and must share with bedrooms 4 or 6. *Upstairs bedroom 6 has a queen bed, and a ladder-accessible wall loft twin, and a futon, as well as a private bath with tub and shower combo. *The Landing may also be used as sleeping space, with a futon and space for airbeds. The Great Room is a wonderful space to gather and chat, or play games or poker on the game table. There is also a checker/chess table in the Great Room, and a third game table for board game fun. There is an armoire that holds a great selection of board games and card games, as well as pool towels for your use. KITCHEN: The warm kitchen and dining room space flow together in a wonderful gathering space. The expansive cedar dining table can seat 12+ on the family benches surrounding it. There are 6 cedar barstools at the breakfast bar for dining overflow or space for the kids to enjoy breakfast or meals. LAUNDRY: There is a laundry room for your use, and detergent and dryer sheets are provided as well as stain remover and a selection of cleaning supplies should you need them. An iron and ironing board are also in the laundry room. POOL/YARD The outdoor space begs you to come out and play! The resort pool is wonderful on a hot summer day. Although the pool is not heated, the hot tub is available for use year-round! There is a great selection of outdoor yard games like Cornhole, Giant Jenga, and Ping Pong. POND There is a pond on the property, and cattle that enjoy that space. You are free to wet a hook, but please be CERTAIN to close the gate and latch the chain if you go to the pond. Guest Access: Guest parking is to the right and left side yards, the circle drive, and the concrete garage approach. Host parking is to the left side lane toward the back of the house. Please do not block. Guests may access the main house, with access through the front door, not the garage. There is no garage access, and there is no access to the workshop in the pool building, as these spaces are used for storage and equipment. Guests may access the back yard south side yard, and pool area. Beyond the north privacy fence is the property host area. We ask that guests not access the north side of the property beyond the privacy fence. Host, if present, will give guests complete privacy, but will be available in case of question or emergency. Guests may have access to the pond, but watch for our country critters that say ssssssssss----< - there are cattle that have access to the pond area, so if you access it, it is imperative that you close and fasten the gate. Interaction with Guests: There will be no personal guest interaction, unless requested by the guest. The host may be available, based on scheduling. If the host is unavailable in person, she will be available by phone, and a co-host will be assigned for emergency needs. Host and co-host will give guest complete privacy. There are separate private host/owners quarters attached to the garage of the cabin. If the host is on property, this is where she will stay. It has it's own private entrance, and the entrance/porch is separated from guest area by a privacy fence. For this reason, please do not park in the lane next to the concrete garage approach (lane is marked), as this is the lane to the back of the host quarters, as well as private host camping area. Other Things to Note: Kitchen is fully-equipped. **Disclaimer: ALL guests must be registered on our check-in form. If extra guests come without being registered, your reservation will be cancelled without refund, and you will be asked to vacate the premises.** The cabin has a cat. She comes and goes, and is especially helpful in controlling the sssssss---< ; population (as well as other country creepy-crawlies). If you see her and she tries to come in and join your party - you can let her if you want - or just toss her out the door. The cabin has named her "Cat." PET POLICY 1)Guests must notify The Log Cabin of intent to bring a pet. There is a maximum of two pets allowed. 2) At Least 3 days before arrival, provide weight, breed, and general description of pet. 3) “Aggressive breeds” are not allowed per insurance: Pit Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Terriers, Jack Russell Terriers, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Presa Carnarios, Chow Chows, Doberman Pinschers, Akitas, Wolf-hybrids, Mastiffs, Cane Corsos, Great Danes, Alaskan Malalutes, Siberian Huskies. 4) Cats, pigs, or undesirable/dangerous pets are not allowed. 5) Provide proof of vaccination. 6) Pets must be treated for fleas/ticks before arrival. 7) Pet Fee: $150 per pet, refundable if no damage is detected and so long as we don't have to do pet hair remediation. We provide pet blankets for your pet to use if they are used to being on a bed. Blankets are in a basket on the hearth. We supply a large pet bed/rug (in front of the fireplace, feel free to move it about), and a pooper scooper for your use. If you clean up after your pet and our housekeepers don’t find evidence of pet hair on beds or furniture, your pet fee will be REFUNDED in full. We are not interested in making money off your pet, so if you help us out by making sure there’s not pet hair on furniture, and no poop in the yard, we’ll send your pet fee right back to you immediately after assessing the house after checkout. If there is hair on furniture and bedding, the pet fee will be withheld to pay for extra cleaning time. 8) Scoop poop. We don’t want anything left behind for the next guest. 9) Pets are not allowed on furniture, unless they are using a provided pet blanket or one that you have brought for them. 10) Pets must be on a leash outside. They are not allowed to run free. There are cattle in the pasture, and it’s entirely possible for a dog to get excited and run after the cattle.
