Summary: This Marriott Shadow Ridge was a very nice place to stay, we'll be back again. We previously stayed at Marriott Desert Springs and loved that too, but for those trying to decide which to stay at here are our feelings about both properties. We liked the pools much better at Shadow Ridge because of layout, designated adult pools and children pool areas. Basically both these properties are the same with slight differences. The mountain views at Desert Springs was nicer. The condo layouts are exactly the same, however, we had a foam mattress in our room which my husband and I hated and slept terrible all week. Golf course at Shadow Ridge was closed for overseeding, but the guys golfed elsewhere. They liked Desert Springs course but not their favorite. They really loved Desert Willow course. We found it easier to walk the property at Desert Springs, all the sidewalks were clean and easy, while at Shadow Ridge some of the walkways were stone/gravel and in some areas we had to take to the street to meet back up with a concrete sidewalk. Not as safe for older folks with mobility issues.
