Summary: We love the city of Avila and the location of this apartment worked really well for us. Inside the walls of the city, just downhill from one of the major squares that has several restaurants. Around the corner were some shops. It was great and worked well for the 7 of us, 4 adults and 3 kids. Avila is great because it isn't overcrowded with tourists. There are tourists but we did not encounter any lines and the town has a great, little city, feel. Between the wall, cathedral, churches, and everything thing linked to Saint Theresa, there is plenty to do and see. The apartment had 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchen and off the kitchen was access to a little outdoor patio area which we enjoyed sitting in. The hostess/owner was great. She met us on our arrival and went over lots of ideas of things to do in the city. She helped us arrange a taxi for our departure and really went above and beyond.
