Situated between Alicante and Santa Pola, on the Mediterranean Sea, Gran Alacant is only a 10 minute drive from El Altet (Alicante) airport. Just next to Carabassi beach, this is an ideal base for all types of holiday (couple, family or small group). Tui Casa has three bedrooms including 2 double beds and 2 single beds with air conditioning in the living area and first floor bedrooms. A private solarium can be found on the roof terrace. Two bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor. Fully equipped kitchen, dinning room, lounge (with all modern appliances including UK satellite TV, WiFi Internet) and second bathroom on the ground floor. Large third bedroom located on the basement level. Large shared pool & kids pool. Relax and enjoy the local restaurants, sun, sand and surf at Carabassi beach!

The salt lakes just south of Santa Pola are another interesting aspect of this area as is the Nature Reserve 'El Cot' which is just 2 minutes walk from the Villa and includes many migratory birds. Arenales del Sol can be reached by foot and includes a wonderful palm lined promenade for a cool evening stroll. Benidorm with all its attractions, including Terra Mitica theme park, Aqualandia water park and Mundomar animal park is just 1 hour's drive to the north, while Torrevieja which boasts the largest street market in Spain is 25 minutes drive south.

Summary: Generally we thought the property was in a good position, and met our needs. However with more than one issue it was a little disappointing. We had problems with the toaster that failed the first time we used it. The TV which was advertised as having UK channels, had lost its satellite connection, so no TV was available that we could understand. The washing machine appeared to be faulty, when used, by setting the wash on a delicate it rinsed the washing with boiling water, and this resulted in clothing shrinking and being unfit to wear. And, finally the a/c in the lounge started leaking water over the sofa. All in all, none of these issues were addressed as they occurred after we notified the house manager on each occasion.
