Families reconnect at Private Lakefront Log Cabin w/Hot Tub, Kayaks, Fishing! | Cabin in Lillington

4 Bedroom Cabin in Bunnlevel, Lillington
A mountain - like retreat but with great Internet! Families and friends are making lifetime memories reconnecting here! Leave your stress at the gate and enter our secluded, fully fenced 12-acre sanctuary. Drive to the back of the property where the views and sounds of wildlife and nature surround you in privacy. The private, 3 acre, bass-filled, lake (20 feet deep in parts) invites you to paddle out on the complimentary kayaks waiting on its bank. Mornings are for relaxing on the cabin decks with your favorite beverage; where you might see deer, wild turkey, geese, beavers, turtles, Blue Heron and more. You may even hear the gentle moos of the neighbor's cows. End your day on the same decks and listen to your world transform into nature’s symphony as the sun sets. Your escape, from the hectic world is less than an hour drive from Raleigh and Fayetteville; and fantastic day trip opportunities are just a 2 hour drive to historic Wilmington/Wrightsville beach and 3 hours to the mountains (Boone). Explore the local area and find out why our Triangle is highly sought after to relocate!
If you can’t leave your work behind, we offer high speed internet — but only if you must. Enjoy your own little slice of paradise! Coming onto the property or leaving, you may catch your hosts quietly working at the front as we continue to clear areas, build and work to create a small, therapeutic farm for our community. Your hosts often stay overnight in a small cottage at the front of the property and their two Goldendoodles are contained with an underground fence where they will remain so as not to disrupt you during your stay. Your loved ones and furry babies will enjoy the back private 5 acres (including the 3 acre lake). Everyone is welcome to explore the fully fenced 12 acres and you have the option to keep the entrance gate closed so your dogs can roam even more freely. We provide plenty of dog towels because our four legged guests can't resist the water! During the busy, warm rental season, the owners will give you a heads up when they are mowing, or organic lawn and lake maintenance is done by our respectful contractors.
Think of this destination as extreme glamping — surrounded in unspoiled nature, but retreating to a large log cabin with all the perks. The outdoors is similar to what you may find along a hike in the great outdoors. We try to keep most of it just as nature intended: unspoiled, untreated, with brush minimally cleared.
In contrast, we endeavor to make the lodging comfortable, well equipped and hopefully, with every detail thought out so you can truly disconnect, relax and experience the beauty and peace that surrounds you. All necessary items as well as many other details we feel are important for your comfort and enjoyment include: Jacuzzi Hot Tub, Reverse Osmosis filtered water, a well stocked kitchen with plenty of quality cookware, bakeware, small appliances, utensils, toddler dishware, wine/liquor glassware, barware and bottle openers, spices, oils, flour, sugar, Keurig coffee pods and pot, filters, grinder, French press, tea kettle, tea strainer, gas grill with tools, indoor and outdoor activities (Kube, Bocce to name just a few), toys and games for all ages, reading library, large smart TVs in every room with Roku and YouTube live streaming TV service, your luxury linens include: 100% cotton sheets and extra thick bath towels (for indoor use), as well as separate towels for outdoor and hot tub use, blow dryers, toiletry samples, bath salts, essential oil, pack and play (w/sheets and blanket), high chair, booster seat, ample comfortable outdoor seating, 3 Kayaks, life jackets for all ages, dog towels, 24"x36" dog crate, dog toys, food and water bowls. We also provide a starter supply of: paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish and laundry soap, teas, coffee pods and hot cocoa.
So leave your tent, sleeping bags and cook stove behind! Enjoy access to modern equipment, very comfortable beds, ample comfy seating, and reliable internet! Heck, even mosquitos around the cabin should be minimal since we naturally treat the outside cabin area too! We hope you enjoy your getaway, far from the hustle and bustle; immersed in nature, countless stars, sounds and experiences of the wide-open outdoors.

SPECIAL EVENTS, PARTIES AND LARGE GROUPS:
- due to septic limitations, all parties, special events and groups over 10 are currently not permitted.
CAMPERS/RVs:
- a 30/50 amp service with water is available at the lake side for an additional $25/night per RV. Unfortunately, no septic is available at this time.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY:
- Our cabin and rooms are wheelchair accessible but showers are not. Shower bench and removable suction grab bars are available.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
- Hunting and discharging of firearms is strictly prohibited due to close proximity of neighbors/children nearby!
- Due to the nature of a log cabin and surrounding undeveloped land, at certain times of the year, wildlife and pests may be a nuisance. Our exterminator treats the areas outside the cabin monthly to reduce these incidences, however, we prefer to avoid use of indoor chemical treatments and cannot always control mother nature. Therefore, we do not refund if you encounter her business during your stay. Among the possible pests on the property are: Carpenter Bees in the spring which do not typically sting, Southern Palmetto bugs in the summer/fall (aka American roaches that may find their way inside looking for water and should not be confused with German roaches which inhabit dwellings) and ladybugs inside the cabin in the fall/winter. We do everything we can to minimize these pests, naturally but can't guarantee we can keep them out of the cabin so we ask our guests to help us out by keeping doors and windows closed. Other wildlife/pests you may encounter on the property include geckos, wasps, bees, ticks, crickets, spiders, fire ants, snakes turtles, and more.
- Use of the private lake for all activities including swimming, fishing or paddling is "at your own risk".
- Lake water levels may vary during dry seasons which should not effect fishing but might restrict kayaking areas by up to 30%.
- Bring your own fishing poles and bait. Fishing is catch and release.

Lastly, we regret we've had to place one exterior security camera (outside) at the entrance of the cabin to verify guest occupancy.
