This 2700-square-foot Home on two acres is the perfect family retreat just 12 miles SE from the heart of Downtown Durango.
This house was built to gather friends and family with a 5' x 10' dining table that seats 12 along with a kitchen bar that seats 6. The dining area is shared with the kitchen and living areas that comprise over 1100 sqft of joined space that house both the upright and Grand pianos! Your family will also enjoy the 18-foot vaulted ceiling in this area. Sit back on the oversized sectional and enjoy pasture/mountain views. After sunset enjoy the 100" drop-down theater screen with 200+ movies and streaming services via AppleTV and Denon 7.1 surround sound. There's even a swing set to be enjoyed by the young and old alike. Afternoons can be spent on the shaded front porch sitting area, or the back porch with an outdoor dining table and umbrella that seats 6 adjacent to the oversized 6-burner propane grill.
The kitchen is appointed with T-fal non-stick, All-Clad stainless steel and Lodge cast iron cookware. All kitchenware needed to prepare large meals are supplied (bowls, measuring cups, cutting boards, etc.). The kitchen provides service for 12 with Zwilling J.A. Henckels cutlery and Riedel glassware. All appliances are available to include air fryer, espresso machine, coffee maker, slow cookers, Griddler, Ninja blender, etc. Recently added is a huge 29.5 cu ft LG French Door refrigerator. The refrigerator also has a "Full-Convert" Drawer with five temperature settings to fit your family's needs. Choose from Chilled Wine, Deli/Snacks, Cold Drinks, Meat/Seafood, and Freeze settings. The LG Dishwasher is quiet enough to run while entertaining in the living room. Adjacent to the kitchen you'll find the oversized Samsung front load washer and dryer for all your laundry needs.
The bedrooms are configured to accommodate varying groups:
-The Master Bedroom features a King Size Tempur-Pedic brand bed under a soaring vaulted ceiling. The roomy Master Bath includes his & her sinks and a stand-alone shower all centered around a large tub in the middle of the room. There is also a futon in the Master Bedroom, which folds out into a full-size bed. It can be easily moved to another room for your convenience.
-The "Mini-Master" affords guests a Queen Size Tuft & Needle Memory Foam mattress set in front of a sliding glass door (flanked by windows) that leads to the back patio/outdoor dining area. The attached full bath offers a combination tub/shower. All this is framed under a the 18' vaulted ceiling. This room entertains with a 70" Samsung Smart TV.
-The "Western Bedroom" features two twin beds with a large window overlooking the front porch and acreage beyond. This room is decorated with custom framed landscape photography of local places you'll recognize on your adventures.
-The "Eastern Bedroom" is furnished with a Queen Sized Tuft & Needle memory foam mattress, vintage World's Fair artwork, wall-mounted 55" Samsung Smart TV, and a custom office desk with dual 27" Samsung displays.
The Eastern and Western bedrooms conveniently share a full bath located in the hallway attaching the rooms.
The home features radiant in-floor heat with huge vaulted ceilings throughout. Winter guests will stay comfy with the wood burning stove roaring in the living area. There's ample parking adjacent the attached 2 car garage.
Entertainment abounds with toys for the little one and board games/puzzles for the adults.
The home located just 15mins from Downtown Durango and 5mins from Mercy Medical Center. Purgatory ski area, just 30mins North of Durango is quick drive for a day of skiing. Wolf Creek, Silverton Mountain and Telluride ski areas are all within reach as well.
