Only a short drive away is Bakkasund with a beautiful harbor area with a supermarket and a coastal museum. Nice hiking opportunities with Norsjøløypa as one of the most popular. Ten minutes by car to Storebø with bakery, stores and excursion possibility to Loddo, the highest point in Austevoll. Please visit Bekkjarvik Gjestgiveri restaurant with delicious food made from local ingredients, it is even recommended in the Michelin Guide. 1 km from the house, in Sveholmen, there is a public bathing place and a kayak club with possibilities for courses and renting kayaks. Approx. 1 hour by car to Bergen. 15 minutes by car to Hufthamar to the excursion ship Bergen-Hardanger. The house has an infrared sauna.
