On Maui's sunny south shore, is the romantic Honu’ea cottage, where quiet peaceful living is a way of life. Honu'ea (Hawksbill Turtle) is named after the endangered turtles that come and nest on the sandy shores in front of the property. Honu’ea is perfect for honeymooners or couples just wanting a unique tranquil getaway. The cottage is located on an acre of landscaped grounds with an unobstructed beachfront view of the Pacific Ocean. Just steps from the front door you can take long walks on miles of uncrowded sandy beach.
Honu’ea is a one bedroom, one bath Hawaiian style cottage. The cottage is located on the second story with its own private entrance. This cottage has a great open floor plan that allows for ocean views from almost every room. The master bedroom includes a king size bed, ample walk in closet for clothes and luggage, and a great view of the landscaped yard and ocean. The living space has an inviting sitting area with a relaxing sofa and chair and flat screen tv/dvd. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for all your cooking needs. The cottage also has an amazing beachfront lanai with outdoor seating and BBQ. For the really hot Maui summer days the cottage has a central air conditioning unit.
The cottage is centrally located so you’re only a short walk away from great local restaurants, grocery stores, and shops. The neighborhood is walkable and local bus service is available.

Summary: The cottage is so thoughtfully designed and includes everything you need. The view is perfection. You are on the beach in about a minute. Walk to Nalu's, Akamai coffee and just about anywhere else you may want or need. The location makes it easy to drive to Wailea, upcountry and Maalaea harbor. The cottage is a wonderful alternative to a condo/resort and we loved it. We spend 10 nights and didn't want to leave. It became home away from home. Thank you to manager Amber for a seamless stay.
