OUR LATEST REVIEW ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ " This home is absolutely spectacular. It really does feel right out of a fairy tale. We stayed in early September, and could not have enjoyed ourselves more. The house is charming. From the outside it is extremely appealing, as it is set back from the road at the end of a long driveway on very private wooded land. There are two large decks with dining and built in benches for sitting outside. A mother turkey and her two little poults visited us every day. There's an outdoor shower too. The inside has beautiful sitting rooms, cozy bedrooms, fireplaces, lovely bathrooms, and a (wolf range, Sub Zero) kitchen that has everything you might need. A five minute walk to the private beach. The stairs to the beach are steep and long but with sturdy handrails and graded transitions down the bluff. As you make your way down, you'll see that the walk is worth it--miles of pristine beach stretch out before you, where you can swim, walk, fish, kayak, whatever. Our dog loved running on the beach. Restaurants and a large grocery store are just minutes away by car, as is Plymouth and Cape Co. Robin is an excellent and responsive host who pays attention to every detail. Located on a private verdant hilltop in highly desirable Sagamore Beach, a short one-block stroll on a no-traffic lane to this secret ocean beach (with long beach stairs.) You’ll be amazed at this nearly-unpopulated sugar sand beach, a hidden destination few can access, yet you can walk to from this newly reimagined contemporary fairytale cottage in just minutes. Few beach-area homes can boast of such a unique and charming design. Storybook Cottage offers an ideal floor plan with kitchen, dining, family room, library connected under the beautiful beams, detail from a bygone era, all decorated in a tasteful Nantucket-style traditional decor. This charming timber-frame home -- architect-designed and craftsman-built, features vaulted ceilings, post-and-beam features, and three fireplaces, including the two-story chimney in the vaulted, sunny Great Room. From the Great Room, with its adjacent wine/coffee bar, French doors open out to a large deck with with tables for outdoor dining, built in benches around an on-deck gas fire pit, Weber BBQ, and outdoor shower. Just off the deck is a glade with mahogany adirondack chairs in a circle around a wood burning fire pit. Kitchen: The modern, fully equipped kitchen offers everything for preparing family meals: Subzero refrigerator, additional glass-door refrigerator (so you can see the treats you've brought on your vacation!), Wolf range, Carrera marble countertops, toaster oven, microwave, coffee makers, and abundant, high-quality cookware, dishes, glasses, cookware, table linens, spices and condiments, paper goods, and cleaning supplies. The kitchen opens to another spacious deck with another Weber barbecue. Just off the kitchen, down carpeted steps, is a sparkling laundry room with a brand new, state-of-the-art LG washer and dryer with adjacent cabinets and Belfast, apron sink. Bedrooms: The private, ground-level master bedroom features a vaulted ceiling and a queen, Tudor canopy bed. The adjacent master-bath has an antique vanity and easy-access shower. A downstairs Library with TV and fireplace can double as an overflow sleeping area. The upstairs bedrooms have beams, charmingly tall ceilings, and storybook dormer windows and share a “Jack and Jill” shower/tub bath, each with individual door from the cheerful bedrooms. We supply quality linens, down comforters (or alternative, if you prefer) and fluffy towels. You'll find everything you need for the perfect vacation in the beautiful highlands of Sagamore Beach, which is only a couple of miles to the Cape Cod Canal. Just over the Sagamore Bridge is the quaint town of Sandwich and all of Cape Cod and its many shops, beaches. and sights. Plymouth center, with its wealth attractions, restaurants, and shops, is a short hop to the north. And it is easy to take a quick trip in to Boston just an an hour or so away.
