Eugene's Cottage is a traditional two bedroom Irish cottage located close to the banks of the Blackwater River near Kenmare in County Kerry. It has spectacular mountain views of the Macgillycuddy Reeks, the Caha Mountains, and Ballaghbeama. The River Blackwater runs alongside the property and licences are available locally for salmon and trout fishing in season.
Kenmare Bay is nearby with sea angling and wildlife cruises to see seals, white-tailed eagles and dolphins. Walkers will found an excellent range of walks for all levels and there are plent of opportunities for mountain biking. For the horse-riding enthusiast there are two riding stables close to Eugene's Cottage.
There are many scenic drives including the nearby Ring of Kerry, the Beara Peninsula and Killarney National Park. The area is full of history and mythical stories and local people will be happy to re-tell some of the old tales over a pint at the Blackwater Tavern.
