Summary: Listing of the property is misleading, this is a family home split in half, the property owners live in one-half of the house and in the other half house 3 apartment-studios are available for rent. All areas in the business side of the property are common areas, including pool and they must be shared among tenants. This information is not clearly listed in the property listing. I stayed for 28 nights and despite of house being in a privileged Málaga location, the place is outdated and furnished with cheapest and rundown household items. Brought my observations to Alfonso and Pepa, the owners next door but rather than being customer service minded they got upset and insinuated that I was to blame for the rundown use of their bedsheets and water-rotten sofa cushions. UNBELIEVABLE!…..Right!…like one could waste bedsheets by sleeping in them for 2 days. They however did replace the rotten sofa cushions. I was not looking for luxury but rather minimum standard quality accommodation and privacy. In my opinion, rental costs are not in line with furnishings, privacy or location. THE BAD - A CASH safety deposit MUST be given at time of check-in. This is NOT stated in listing !!!. NEVER in the 30+ places I’ve rented before such request was demanded, I felt I was at a low-cost car rental company, nevertheless I gave it and they returned it at checkout because there were no damages from my side. - 2 additional studio/apartments are also available for rent in the same 1/2 house. There is no good insulation and one can hear noises from owners and tenants anytime day or night. Got woken up several nights. - Hot water runs out very quickly so take short showers. - Expect to find outdated appliances, cutlery, and rundown bedsheets. Alfonso and Pepa promised brand new sheets to replace old ones and guess what..never got them! THE GOOD - The location. Neighborhood is under private surveillance and it is central to highways. You can be in Malaga’s city center in about 15mins by car.
