Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Room 002-A was first level beachfront. It was large, well laid out, and comfortable. It had an outdoor terraza, kitchenette, refrigerator, wash room, Breakfast buffet was excellent. Television and Wifi worked very well.
Negative: The weather was mostly rainy due to the El Niño, which delayed the arrival of the summer. We were there at Praia Brava to easily attend a beach wedding at Le Barbaron and got a sunny day. We had a rental car and drove all over the island. A rental car at Praia Brava is recommended unless you are going to stay at that beach the entire time. But it is possible to walk over a hill, in 30 minutes, to get to a sunset view restaurant at Ponta das Canas. Praia Brava faces east toward the open Atlantic and gets onshore wind with moderate surf. That exposure makes the beach very clean and attractive, but one must avoid swimming in the well marked rip tide zones that transport the return surge back out to sea,
