RENTAL LISTING IN THE GALENA TERRITORY This classic miners cottage set back off the road opens into a towering open concept space featuring a 2 story stacked stone fireplace surrounded by windows. The kitchen has everything you need and is open to a dining space for 8 and a deck with a gas grill. There is a unique large two level screened porch off the dining area where you can gather to enjoy the sights, sounds and scents of the surrounding woods. A half bath and the master suite with king size bed and its own deck complete the first floor layout.
The lower level features a family room with another fireplace and a 65 inch smart tv. 2 more bedrooms, one with a queen the other with twin beds and each with its own bathroom and deck offer comfort and privacy to your guests. There is even a cozy extra sleeping space decorated to offer the kids a ' woodland adventure'.
Access to the extensive network of hiking trails is a very short walk up the road. The Owners Club amenities are yours to enjoy including swimming pools, tennis courts, basket ball and pickle ball court and fitness center. There are 3 golf courses in the Galena Territory and several more in the surrounding area. The marina on lake Galena offers boat and kayak rentals for a fun day on the water. The Shenandoah Riding Center has trail rides for a bit of family fun.
Galena is a beautiful historic small town offering fun shops, some really good restaurants and museums to introduce you to the history of the area and to its most famous former resident President Ulysses S. Grant. Chestnut Mountain Resort, 20 minutes from Galena has skiing in Winter and a mountain slide and Mississippi river rides the rest of the year.
