This Amelia Island beach vacation rental is centrally located off Fletcher Avenue across the street from the Atlantic Ocean Beach and near historic downtown Fernandina Beach.
Plan your next beach retreat at the “Flip Flop Inn”, a Sea Castles townhouse offering 3 bedrooms and 2-1/2 bathrooms within it’s newly renovated interior. A large open 1st floor centers around the family room with upgraded and fully equipped kitchen w/stainless steel appliances, laundry room and enclosed private deck with new gas grill. Stairs take you to the 2nd floor master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and plenty of storage. On the 3rd floor are 2 additional bedrooms, one with an outdoor deck, and a full bathroom. Flat screen tv's with HD cable are provided in the family room and master bedroom.
We strive to provide you with all the comforts of home!
Spend your days at the beach which is a short walk across the street or relax by the Sea Castles gated community pool. Enjoy a bike ride or walk down tree-lined 1st Avenue or a round (or two) of golf at the Fernandina Beach Golf Club located only 3 minutes away. The Flip Flop Inn is conveniently located next door to The Surf Restaurant & Bar where you can sit on their deck, feel the ocean breeze and listen to nightly entertainment. They serve breakfast, lunch & dinner as well as offer smoothies, coffee and homemade ice cream.
Valid Drivers License must be submitted at time of booking. Must be 25 years old to book and must be staying at the property the complete time.

Summary: wasn’t all bad and we did our best to enjoy our vacation regardless. Also, this won’t allow me to type all concerns so I’m being brief. But… Cleanliness was not up to par. Clothing left in drawers& closet from previous tenant. Wash cloths dingy. Sheets had holes in them. One of the bedroom doors was warped and wouldn’t shut completely. The blinds going to the back deck was broken. Didn’t have the stick to turn them or push them back, so they would just fall off if you tried to move them. One of the spindles on the staircase was broken. There was trash left between the wall &one of the twin beds. We purposely didn’t bring our beach wagon, chairs, & sand toys bc those things were listed on the amenities. However, some chairs were moldy &all sand toys were busted/broken. The wagon was on its last leg (still able to use it but hard to pull). Boogie boards were all broken so we couldn’t use them. The lock messed up on the door (battery died?). Owner came later same day &replaced the batteries. But we had to leave it unlocked until he fixed it. Then the garage lock messed up. Never was fixed. Had to leave it unlocked. Then main door lock messed up again!! Most concerning, cockroaches in garage!! Huge ones, babies ones, they would just scatter when the lights came on. Never saw any inside the condo though. Washer reeked bc it was full of mold! The whole place needs a DEEP cleaning! Tried addressing these issues via email w/owner ≠ver received a response. Location was great…
