The area is known for some of the best fishing in the state and less than an hour from the Tallahassee airport makes Alligator Point the perfect location for a relaxing vacation.
This spacious, 3 bedroom, gulf front beach home is on the edge of the Gulf of Mexico with 90 feet of private beach and endless ocean views with wraparound decks along with numerous windows. It was built in the early seventies and is one of the remaining old Florida homes. It is furnished with antiques and nautical handcrafts throughout with a panoramic tiled kitchen and living room large enough for the entire family ,tiled bedrooms and bathrooms, and a captain's spiral staircase to the loft bedroom. The kitchen, eating area, and utility room are a step up above the living room which may not be conducive to all age groups like toddlers or elderly, as well as the spiral staircase to the loft bedroom.. Special areas are the master bedroom with a sitting area, and an outside covered eating area ground level, outside shower and toilet, and a fish cleaning station. Central air, charcoal grill, fully furnished kitchen, washer/dryer, 3 smart TVs, and much more.
Swimming, fishing, shelling, sunbathing, bird watching, biking, dolphin watch, boating, great seafood restaurants and markets with a golf course only 40 minutes away. The marina and Tiki Hut are within walking distance. Alligator Point is a very secluded, residential, unspoiled sand dune, not a resort destination
Come for the beach, the wildlife and great seafood. Crawfordville and Carrabelle are the nearest areas for grocery shopping and Panacea for dinning. The entire area specializes in seafood restaurants and markets.
Wakulla Springs State Park, Panacea Gulf Aquarium, and Apalachicola are great day trips. Don't forget your insect repellent. Our coastline , Palmetto trees, and sand dunes offer a variety of little critters that you may not be familiar with such a sand gnats, No-See-Ums, sand fleas, Palmetto bugs, yellow flies, love bugs, and large mosquitos, which we have no control over. Please keep doors closed and windows closed without screens. Insects are attracted to light and can quickly invade.
