Elk Ridge is a massive luxury log lodge that sits atop "Mio Mountain" on over 60 acres of private wooded property. The anticipation begins as you follow the nearly 1 mile driveway up to the top of the ridge where only 2 homes sit, Elk Ridge, and sister property, Caribou Ridge Lodge. Together these two unique and absolutely stunning lodges can sleep up to 60 guests. The lodges are the perfect distance from each other, close enough to walk between them in about 7 minutes and far enough apart that noise can not be heard between the 2. These two lodges are some of Michigan's most stunning and spectacular vacation homes. Guest's won't even believe they are not in the middle of the Smoky Mountains. Both Lodge's offer incredible, 180 degree panoramic views of the entire Ausable River Valley from throughout the Lodge's, wraparound decks, and outdoor entertaining areas.
Elk Ridge is new to the vacation rental market but sister property, Caribou Ridge Lodge, has over 235 five star reviews with over 10 years of history as a vacation rental. Many guests have came every year since their first visit.
Both lodges were custom designed and meticulously decorated. Elk Ridge Lodge sleeps up to 32 guests. The adjacent lodge sleeps up to 28 guests. Additional guest fees apply for each guest over 12 guests.
Guests have exclusive access to the entire lodge as well as the entire 60 acre property. The large driveway can accommodate a large number of vehicles with plenty of room to maneuver trailers etc. It is common to see bald eagles and hawks soaring along the ridgeline directly in front of the properties.
Many guests snowtube, sled, or even snowboard down the long driveway during the winter. Sleds are typically available for guests to use.
Guests can reach the Au Sable River and the Mio Dam area in 3-4 minutes by car to enjoy all kinds of water activities including swimming, boating, kayaking, canoeing, river tubing, fishing, etc. Several businesses offer canoe, kayak, or tube rentals just a few minutes from the driveway.
The property is also just a few hundred feet from groomed state ATV/UTV/snowmobile trails. The trails are easily accessible from the driveway and trailering is not necessary.
The property features an outdoor steam sauna but new panoramic view barrel saunas for each lodge are pending installation along with either a new swim spa or pool. Check back for updates. Additional costs may apply to the heating/cleaning of any available hot tub, swimspa, or pool. Please inquire prior to booking for up to date information on when they should be completed.

WEDDING INFORMATION
2023 already has many weddings booked and photos of the property decorated and set up for weddings will be uploaded throughout the 2023 year as those weddings occur. Many of the 2023 wedding guests have agreed to allow the property host to use photographs of the decor and wedding set up so future guests can get an idea of what to expect.
WEDDING FEATURES AND AMENITIES COMING IN 2023 INCLUDE:
Ceremony site overlooking the ridge with seating for up to 125 guests and a natural type awning for the actual ceremony
Separate cocktail hour area with optional outdoor bar, cocktail tables, and decor
Indoor reception area featuring tables and chairs that is permanently decorated to a base level that guests may choose to customize if they desire
There is plenty of parking.
Pricing varies depending on options chosen but pricing is lowest for the 2023 and 2024 years.
Patio furniture is not available during the winter months.

Bedroom 2: Blue Room w/ full bath. Located on upper level. 2 queen beds, 1 full bed, located on upper level. Private Full bathroom located right across the hall.
Bedroom 3: Green Room w/ full bath. Located on upper level. 2 queen beds, 1 full bed, 2 twin beds located in loft area accessible only by ladder and for adults only, located on upper level. Private Full bathroom located right across the hall.
Bedroom 4: Lower level, bathroom is adjacent to bedroom. will be 2 full over full bunk beds, currently not pictured in photographs, located on walkout lower level. Full bathroom located right outside the door.
Bedroom 5: Single room log cabin approximately 300 feet from main home. Currently contains 2 full beds. Please inquire prior to booking. Additional fee applies. ground level

The home also has 8-10 additional high quality twin memory foam brand new mattresses with very high ratings as well as lightweight frames available upon request with 2 weeks of notice.
