The Old Rectory is an elegant Grade II Listed house, built at the turn of the 18th Century. The house is set in a mature garden and situated in a private and quiet location and accessed via a private drive. The house is spacious with well-proportioned rooms, high ceilings and many original period features throughout. In the recent years we have added new bathrooms, kitchen and modern touches throughout to suit modern family living whilst retaining the period character and charm.
The space
The main entrance leads into a welcoming reception hall with a separate cloakroom and downstairs loo. From the entrance hall there is a spacious front aspect dining room with wooden floor with wood burner and large circular table to seat up to 12 people.
The kitchen is central to the downstairs layout and is the main living area on the ground floor with modern units, granite worktops, breakfast bar, Aga and farmhouse table that seats 8. The adjoining snug room has a large comfy corner sofa, TV and access to the raised patio area and garden.
There is a separate utility room accessed beyond the snug with washing machine, dryer and fridge and a separate larder
From the inner hall stairs lead to a half landing where the cinema/playroom is situated with sofas, games and projector.
On the first floor, the property offers a spacious front aspect master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, loo and walk-in shower.
There are an additional 2 double bedrooms on this floor with a shared family bathroom with roll top bath, loo and walk in shower. A separate loo is also on this level. A further double bedroom is accessed up a small flight of stairs.
