The space
Our two bedroom, one bathroom cosy cottage is just a 10-15 minute walk from the Daylesford town centre (the walk back up is quite hilly!) and a 5 minute walk to the Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens. The cottage is located on a quiet street with beautiful views over the rolling hills from the two bedrooms and front verandah.
We have carefully spent time making the house comfortable for our guests including wood fire heater, a split-system AC and a washing machine. The new king and queen size beds have quality lofty down doonas, crisp white sheets and are equipped with electric blankets. Extra blankets and heaters are supplied for added cosy factor during the winter months.
Our renovated bathroom features oversized walk-in shower with a monsoon shower head, artisan tiles and heat lamps for those chilly, winter Daylesford mornings.
The well equipped, recently renovated kitchen has all of your holiday relaxation necessities- wine glasses aplenty, sharp knives, pots & pans and plenty of cheeseboard making essentials. High-speed, free wifi is available if you would like to stream Netflix, Stan, Disney+ (all already signed into on the TV) or YouTube on the 55" UHD wall mounted television.
We are only a short 10 minutes stroll away from the Daylesford Sunday Markets and the famous Farmers Arms Pub.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire property which consists of the whole house and gardens. Our small garden shed is not accessible as we use this for storage.
Other things to note
During winter, Daylesford gets very cold. We recommend packing lots of warm clothes to wear when exploring the area or grabbing a local coffee. The house stays lovely and warm with our wood fire, split system, bedroom heater, cosy bedding and electric blankets, however we do suggest packing your Ugg boots to keep your tootsies warm on the polished concrete floors.
Each reservation is supplied with approximately 6-8 pieces of redgum firewood for each day. Extra firewood can be purchased at local petrol stations and local roadside honesty boxes.
Please note that our Coonara (wood fire heater) only burns hardwood ie. redgum etc. The use of any non-hardwood may damage the heater.
