Positive: Everything! Even before we arrived we had contact for any questions. We were able to safely park our tuktuk in their yard. We were greeted with a welcome drink and shown to our room. The room has everything you need, mini fridge, large bathroom with great water pressure and warm shower. The bed is the comfiest we have slept on in Sri Lanka! We kept the curtains open to wake up to the lush garden view. We often didn’t need the ac, the fan and the doors open were perfect. It was great being able to have the sliding doors open and feel like you were outside. Never had any issues with mosquitos despite this either. Big cupboard to unpack clothes and under the bed to keep your bags out of the way. Now the family…oh so lovely! They were always so helpful. They even saw is walking one day and offered to give us a ride. Always available via WhatsApp for any questions. They really made our stay extra special. The breakfasts were always plentiful and delicious. Over the 4 days we always had something different. They kept us full past lunch. The location is across the road from turtle beach where you can snorkel with turtles and watch sunset. There are also a few beach bars where you can lounge and eat and drink at. Just over 5 mins away is dickwella beach, a large quiet beach. A quick tuktuk ride brings you to hiriketiya. Surfer beach that is much busier, with more going on in the area. We would also drive to kudawella beach for surfing lessons. We loved the location close enough yet still peaceful. We would not hesitate to stay there again!
