The property is situated up by the Crest overlooking the Akatarawa valley. The Cottage is 100 years old and recently received a refurbishment with gas hot water and modern shower. This cottage has a worm composting toilet which is eco-friendly which is an attraction for this property. The water is rain collected and and goes through a 3 stage filter for the property. There is no TV and wifi (although wifi available by the main house on the section), to make this a perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery. There are local parks and walks to explore, or enjoy a BBQ with a view. We do have cellular network coverage so your not completely off the grid. The cottage has a kitchenette with microwave and electric hobs and fry pan BBQ for cooking and a small fridge with freezer box. We also are able to offer a commercial Airport transfer service through Freedom Drivers with this property - please enquire as we can also provide transportation services and tourist services - eg, trip to supermarket or markets and destinations. We have free roaming chickens and ducks around the property and they get feed twice a day, and if your lucky there could be fresh eggs! There are two other houses away from the cottage on the section, but we will advise when booking any parking instructions and how to get to the cottage - be aware there is walking up a slight slope.
