This wonderful lakeside cottage offers 4 bedrooms and 3 ½ baths, and is located on scenic Hobbs Pond in the town of Hope, Maine. This is the perfect home for your family and friends to enjoy everything wonderful that Maine has to offer…the quiet, private location, the direct access to the pond, and the short drive to both Camden and Rockland's many shops and restaurants, make this a location that you can’t beat. The home also features 4 kayaks that are available for your use, so you can explore by land or by water!
This lovely home boasts an open concept living/dining/kitchen area with high ceilings and lots of room to socialize, play games, or enjoy cooking dinner together—and the kitchen is outfitted with everything you’ll need to make that fabulous lobster supper you’ve been waiting for! The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and immaculate, and the lower level is a great spot for the kids to enjoy the combination pool/ping pong table while still having direct access to the yard and pond. There is also a great lounge space with a television and DVD player on the lower level so there's something for everyone to enjoy. The second level offers a third lounge space with television and DVD player and would be a great spot to curl up with a good book. Our favorite spot, though, is the wrap-around deck, which features several seating areas, a gas grill, and a table and chairs for dining al fresco.
Just imagine spending your day paddling a kayak around the pond, exploring all of the nature and beauty around you. You can fish, or swim, and take amazing photos. You can read a book and enjoy the warmth of the sun, or take a nap in the quiet peaceful surroundings. In the evening, you can enjoy sitting on the deck with a cocktail as the sun starts to set…you hear the kids laughter as they play in the yard, and the call of the loons on the pond. You can see a million stars in the crystal clear night sky, as you enjoy roasting marshmallows in the fire pit as the end to a perfect day.
