The city park and fishing pond are within walking distance, as well as the county library and the Hattie House, a community center and playground for children. Within 3 miles are Harp's grocery store and Dollar General. Everyone loves the Daisy Queen, offering old fashioned favorites, and the Kenda Drive-In Movie Theater, for great family fun all year round. Ryan's Main Street Grill, with drinks, dinner, and dancing, and The Skylark Cafe are also Searcy County favorites located 10 miles away in Leslie. The Buffalo National River is located within 10 miles and there are many canoe rental/shuttles in the area. Gilbert is a quaint little town right on the Buffalo and is only 15 miles from the apartment. Photographers can't get enough of the Smith Barn that's right outside of town and home to a heard of elk at certain times of the year. Falling Water Falls is beautiful and refreshing and makes a great road trip through Richland Valley off Point Peter Mountain.
