Hike the trails, canoe in the lake, or simply watch the wildlife from your porch. Close to wedding venues, wineries, distilleries, breweries, state natural areas, local festivals, shopping, and of course Austin. The Space Main cabin features a full kitchen, 1 bedroom (queen bed) with a full bathroom, a living room with sofa and 3 chairs, and a dining table that seats six. Large screen TV with Roku (access to Netflix, Amazon TV, and a ton of other streaming channels). Free password protected WiFi. Spare cabin features 2 bedrooms (each with queen beds), 2 full bathrooms, living area with a sofa, tea table for two, and a kitchenette. We've stocked both houses with coffee amenities, drinks, snacks, and necessities like toiletries, first aid kits, tools, bug spray, etc. There's also a laundry room stocked with laundry supplies and a spare refrigerator/freezer. All new beds, couches, chairs, mixed with some antique furniture. The whole place is yours when you book - if there's just two of you, then you'd probably be perfect in the main cabin - if you have a group of people, there's plenty of spillover room in the second cabin. We will never book the place with separate groups (once you reserve the place, it's all yours). The rate does change after the first two guests, so please enter an accurate guest number when you book. Sleeps 6 people in queen beds - up to 8 people if they do the couch thing. Extra blankets, sheets, pillows provided. Guest Access You have full, private access to the cabins, fenced yard, lakes, and surrounding hiking trails - approximately 30 acres is all yours. If you would like use of the kayaks or canoes, just let us know - all that's required is a signed Water Waver Release. Lifejackets provided. Due to insurance restrictions, no swimming in the lakes. Fishing is welcome. There's a Weber charcoal grill, outdoor stone fireplace, and a large outdoor space with evening tree lights. Interaction with Guests Private - we live on the property, away from the cabins. We are available 24/7 for questions or assistance, and are always happy to meet new people. The Neighborhood This is a peaceful, private ranch with livestock in fenced pastures. It is only 5 miles from Dripping Springs and close to a variety of hill country attractions, towns, distilleries, wineries, and wedding venues. Getting Around These cabins are located in the country - no real public transportation (except taxi cabs or Uber/Lyft from Austin). We are 28 miles west of Austin and 5 miles west of Dripping Springs. Plenty of parking at the cabins, including two covered slots in the carport. If you enjoy bicycling, we are located along Creek Road - a great country lane that leads to many cool backroad rides. If motorcycles are your thing, this is a perfect base for some of the most scenic riding in Texas. Other Things to Note Property is completely fenced with security gate access. Cabins are located toward center of property, below some bluffs and adjacent to the North Lake. Cabins have approximately one acre of fenced yard. In order to best protect our guests and ourselves, we provide a rental agreement that must be signed by both parties. Here are some highlights: No guests under the age of 14 years. Pets are allowed (must meet basic requirements and sign Pet Agreement). Smoking is allowed in outdoor courtyard only - not porches or indoors. Otherwise pretty basic stuff, like don't throw rocks at the horses. We'll provide a copy prior to booking.
