Dorothy's Lodge is a wonderful property in the heart of the Rideau Lakes that can accommodate groups up to 25 people! This property features docking for 3 boats, great swimming, great fishing, and exploring.
It is located, within walking distance to the Cataraqui Trail (great place for biking and hiking), convenience store with beer/liquor, etc, Opinicon Lodge Restaurant, historic Chaffey's Lock and the Lockmaster's Museum, Cedars Art Studio, and Boat rentals at Brown's Marina. The Opinicon Resort is only a 5 minute walk from this property for a great dinner, drinks in the pub, or for the best Ice-cream anywhere! Motorboats, pontoon boats, kayaks, Canoe, and bikes can also be rented within walking distance! By boatyou have access to six lakes without locking through. Also the town of Newboro accessible by boat where there is fine dining and great Shopping.
The dock has a beach swimming area and a 20x20 foot dock with great swimming and lots of room to lounge. The fishing is great from the main dock where you can catch your fill of sun-fish and rock-bass, and if you are lucky a large-mouth bass or two.
This property is unlike any other available on the Rideau, a great place for family reunions!
There are four cottages with a lawn between them with a fire pit and room to throw frisbees, footballs etc.
