Located only 7 minutes from downtown Homer, it's a quick trip to the grocery stores, shopping, beaches, the spit and the harbor, hiking, biking, and ski trails. Homer also has several delicious restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinnner. Relax inside on the couch or out on the deck with gorgeous views of Kachemak Bay and Cook Inlet. Mt. Augustine Volcano is so beautiful and the sunsets are amazing from this little hideaway house. Summary: I was so surprised to get into such a cute, well-priced get away with only a month's notice. It is tourist season in Alaska afterall. Quiet and comfortable with easy access to the town, I loved my stay. I thought I was going to experience a bear sighting on the first day when some bushes started shaking pretty vigorously, but it turned out to a large bunny who nibbled his way across the yard. It was the kind of wildlife encounter I can appreciate. I would definitely recommend this cottage.
