7/23/25 - THE ELEVATOR HAS BEEN FUNCTIONING FOR THE LAST TWO WEEKS.
Please note: From July 2025 to December 31st 2025, the building will be undergoing a significant renovation project. Be advised that during this period, there will be active construction occurring on the exterior of the building, including balcony work, which will result in balcony closure during that time. The condo will remain open for rent during this time. However, we do want to make you aware that there will be some noise and disturbances due to the construction activities. We have applied a discount to this unit during the construction time due to the inconvenience this will cause.
5/2/25 - NEW UPDATE FROM BUILDING MANAGEMENT COMPANY. STILL NO REPAIR DATE ON ELEVATOR. BUILDING EXTERIOR REPAIRS BEGINNING ON JULY 7, 2025 THROUGH END OF December, 2025. MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE USE OF BALCONIES. POOL MAY OR MAY NOT BE OPEN AT TIMES DURING CONSTRUCTION. ANOTHER NEIGHBORING POOL WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR USE DURING THIS TIME.
3/19/25 Update: The controller has been installed and the cab moves up and down. The last company needs to return for their part and the elevator will be operational. As soon as we get the date we will let you know. From what we understand this last step only needs one day.

Summary: This was our first time staying at The Chateux. Our condo was perfect and everything was as pictured. Couldn't ask for a better view of the ocean. Only downfall was the elevator was still out which is to be expected due to the two hurricanes hitting the area last fall. Thankfully our condo was on the third floor so the steps were tolerable. Will definitely stay here again. Check in was super easy and the host was very responsive to text messages.
