Positive: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Location was fantastic. 5 minutes from the train station, 5 minutes from Arc de triomphe and a short walk from all the touristy sites. Plenty of restaurants around. Short walk to 2 different grocery stores. Separate bedroom, living room, and kitchen. Washing machine available. Toilet separate from bathroom (shower, sink). Hot water, good pressure. Full kitchen with refrigerator/freezer, stovetop and oven. The coffee maker required special pods (Senso). The kitchen was equipped for 2-3 persons. Most of the basics were there, good enough for making simple meals. The couch was comfortable for sleeping (though a bit smokey smelling).
Negative: There were a few minor issues we messaged the host about, but they took over a day to respond and were never addressed. Lightbulbs were out in the laundry and bedroom closet. In the bathroom, the upper showerhead didn't work (water sprayed everywhere at the connection joint), and the bracket holding the handheld showerhead was broken so it couldn't be adjusted and fixed in a higher position. The host did offer to come adjust it, but never showed up. There was also an ever present faint scent of cigarette smoke in the apartment (especially around the couch in the living room) despite it being a non-smoking unit. Also, the peephole was just an empty hole stuffed with napkins making it a bit creepy to think it could just be easily unplugged from the outside to see in. Wi-Fi connection was occasionally spotty and slow, but mostly adequate for working remotely.
