Huisje Schouwen is a spacious, comfortable and stylishly furnished holiday home suitable for a maximum of 7 adults and 1 child (up to 4 years old).
CLASSIFICATION HOUSE SHOES
> Open kitchen: Equipped with dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, 4-burner stove, combi oven / microwave, Senseo coffee maker, kettle and toaster. Fully equipped for extensive (and less extensive :) cooking.
> Living room and conservatory: Sitting area, dining area, TV, DVD, wireless network speaker (for radio and music via your phone, tablet, computer), wood stove and stairs to 1st floor. The many windows make the room wonderfully light and sunny.
> Spacious bathroom: Equipped with bath and separate shower. Toilet, sink and bidet.
> Bedroom 1: Located on the ground floor. Equipped with bunk bed. This room has an extra toilet and sink.
> Bedroom 2: Located on the 1st floor, with a double bed, wardrobe and a view of the garden.
> Bedroom 3: Located on the 1st floor, with a single bed and a bed that can be converted into a double bed. Balcony and view over the playground at the front.
> Garden: Beautifully landscaped and conveniently located on the south-west. Garden table and chairs are provided. The garden is completely fenced, so ideal for children and privacy. At the rear of the garden is a door to the playing field behind.
> The staircase to the first floor is a spiral staircase and less suitable for small children and infirm. They can sleep in bedroom 1 on the ground floor (see layout).
Huisje Schouwen does not have a washing machine and dryer, our guests have access to the launderette of Camping de Strandloper. You can buy coins for this at the reception.
> Bed linen, bath linen and kitchen linen are not included and can be rented separately or brought along.
CAMPING THE BEACH RUNNER
We are affiliated with Camping de Strandloper next door. Here you will also receive the key to 'Huisje Schouwen' (until 17.00, after consultation) and you can go for questions / emergencies. Our little guests are also welcome to come and play. The campsite has no less than 4 large playgrounds, a giant trampoline and zip line. The children's court is open in high season, where you can play and craft under supervision. The campsite also has a laundry. The entrance to Camping de Strandloper is located right next to the entrance to the Baken holiday park (300 meters from Huisje Schouwen without having to cross a road).
For check-in and questions (until 5 pm) please contact the reception of Camping de Strandloper. The campsite is located right next to the entrance of holiday park "Het Baken". In the unlikely event of an incident, you can always get someone on the line via the intercom.

HOLIDAY PARK BEACONS
Our house is located on holiday park "Het Baken". Het Baken is a small-scale, green and spaciously designed park. All 66 cottages are privately owned. It is located directly on the Grevelingendijk. On the dike you have an amazing view over the Grevelingenmeer and you can walk along the water in 10 minutes to the North Sea beach.
RECREATION AREA THE BROUWERSDAM
The Baken is also located at the foot of the Brouwersdam recreation area. here you will find wide sandy beaches, water sports facilities, beautiful cycling and walking paths and trendy beach bars: Holiday feeling guaranteed!
SCHARENDIJKE
The village center of Scharendijke is a 300 meter walk from 'Huisje Schouwen'. Here you will find cozy restaurants and cafes and a marina. A large supermarket is located 1 km from the house.
PLAY
Huisje Schouwen has a playground in front of the door (for the little ones) and a sports field behind the plot (access via the garden). In addition, children are welcome to play at the Strandloper campsite (see above).
A little further (walking distance) the Grevelingestrand is a wonderful place to play, especially for children; with climbing frames above the water very adventurous and where you can play with balls, kites, sand and water.
If the weather is not that good, the indoor playground Ût Knienol is always fun (10km) and swimming at Center Parcs Port Zelande (2km) is often a valued alternative.
WATER SPORTS
A cruise on the Grevelingenmeer, rent a sailboat or surf set or just take a dip is of course also possible.
BICYCLES
A junction route runs along Huisje Schouwen, which winds through a beautiful dune area. Or Island hopping by bicycle. This fun route is called "Rondje met de Pontje", where you take the ferry to the other island.
FORESTHOUSE FORESTRY
Beautiful walking, cycling, mountain biking and riding trails through hilly forest area (10 km from Huisje Schouwen).
HISTORICAL CITIES ZIERIKZEE & VEERE
These beautiful cities have a rich past and that can still be seen. You will also find nice shops, cozy terraces and attractive restaurants. Zierikzee: 15km & Veere: 25km from Huisje Schouwen.
SPOTTING SEALS
A large population of seals lives in the Grevelingenmeer and their numbers are constantly increasing. Watch them during a boat trip, on the beach or in the theme park "Neeltje Jans".
BEACHCLUB PERRYS
You get the ultimate beach feeling at Perry's. This beach club was voted the best beach club in the Netherlands in 2013 and the best beach tent in Zeeland in 2016. Only 1km from Huisje Schouwen.
