Destiny Lodge is set in the very heart of Brixham. This two bedroom maisonette is situated on the first floor accessed by steps (approximately ten) and is just a short walk from Brixham's quaint town centre and picturesque harbour. There are two bedrooms, a sitting room with open gas fire (looks like a real fire!) and dining table, and a television snug. There is a jacuzzi bath and the kitchen is spacious and well kitted out. There is a washer/dryer and a dishwasher. You will also be welcomed with a Devon cream tea. Destiny Lodge has not been available as a holiday cottage for a few years. For your curiosity a little history below.... Destiny Lodge is formed from part of a 300 year old Brixham dwelling, which is steeped in local history. Legend has it that it was built when a local man asked his would be father-in-law for his daughter's hand in marriage, to which the young lady's father replied “I would sooner see my daughter in a coffin.” This inspired the local man to think laterally and build a coffin shaped house. His father-in-law was so impressed by the determination shown, that he blessed their marriage.
