Positive: This house is gorgeous & decorated beautifully! There were exactly enough bedrooms for our group & they were beautifully appointed & very comfortable! (There are lots of electrical outlets for charging phones etc.)They are all upstairs as is the only full bathroom. The listing says bathtub/shower but there isn't a bathtub. Not a problem for us as we prefer a walk-in shower. A nice touch that we appreciated was the toiletries which included ear plugs & sleep masks along with the usual shampoo etc. Considering that it was chilly & rainy out we would have liked some kleenex on both floors, then we wouldn't have had to use the toilet paper so much to blow our noses but that may be a personal preference. The bottle of wine was a special way to welcome us & we really enjoyed it & thank you for this!
Negative: Some things in the online posting aren't the same in reality. Like no bathtub, no board games. Some rules should be made clear as well online like: no shoes anywhere in the house (especially since all floors are wood or tile with area rugs), no food or drinks anywhere other than the kitchen or dining room. It should be made clear that the only full bathroom is upstairs. It's only a half bath downstairs so if you have a large group you'll be waiting for the shower. We were traveling with a group of 7 family that wanted to spread out & take advantage of all the rooms & some of us were playing games (we brought-that's another issue) in the dining room & could have drinks & snacks, those watching a movie in the living room couldn't have a drink or snacks. Maybe this is due to the fact that the house is for sale right now, but whatever the reason we found it an unreasonable request that wasn't mentioned online but noted in the Welcome/rule book in the house. Because we do love to play board games we brought our favorites & looked forward to seeing what ones you had available as is advertised & is shown in the photos but there was only one game in the house and it didn't appeal to any of us so we didn't try it. We were glad we brought our own especially since it rained most of our stay & we couldn't take advantage of any of the outdoor amenities.
