Positive: Lovely spacious ground floor accommodation with plenty of patio area, hot tub and lovely views across the garden, in which there were 3 resident pheasants and the odd rabbit. The owners Richard and Susan live in the nearby house and were very friendly hosts but respected our privacy. On-site secluded parking. Very well-equipped kitchenette in the same large room as the double bed and dining table, with a sofa and TV in the adjoining conservatory. There was an under-counter fridge in the kitchenette plus a big fridge-freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer in the adjoining lockable utility room shared with the larger apartment above. Richard offered to lock our e-bikes in the utility room. Good shower and heated towel rail for keeping the shower room warm and towels dry. Good heating in the other rooms when needed. Lots of lovely walks and bike rides in the area. It was great sitting in the hot tub looking up at the stars and we could pull a canopy over it to provide privacy from the apartment above though we had the place to ourselves for 4 of the 5 days we were there. The Plough in Finstock had 2 for 1 cod, fish and chips on Tuesday evening and 2 for 1 sirloin steaks on Thursday evening. We had a very enjoyable stay here, helped by the glorious weather.
