Each of the three bedrooms features new furniture with the most comfortable mattresses you will sleep on while traveling. The master bedroom has a King Tempurpedic bed. The remaining bedrooms have queen beds. Each bedroom has new comfortable pillows and linens that match the room's decor.
This home is also equipped with a brand-new water-softening system. You will have the best drinking water and the softest water to shower in!
The living room features plenty of seating with comfy couches that also allow for an additional place for a guest to sleep. This area has a 65-inch Roku enabled TV with Netflix and channels already set up for guests to use. You're welcome to download any other channels and use your own logins to watch whatever you like as well as use the screen mirroring function to mirror from tablets and laptops.
The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook your own meals during your stay. The laundry area is located just off the kitchen. Near the kitchen is a workspace for any business needs while traveling.
The dining area has a table with enough seating for guests and friends to stop by.
The bathrooms are clean updated and stocked with all the linens and toiletries one might need throughout their stay. Shampoo and body wash are provided in each of the bathrooms.
The side patio is fenced in and includes plenty of room to enjoy the West Texas sunsets.
Parking in the back driveway has plenty of space for 2 vehicles, and the garage is accessible for guest use. There is always free parking available on the street. This property is located in a quiet upscale neighborhood.
Dawkins Retreat is located in a very safe well-established neighborhood located in south Lubbock. Very easy access to shopping (supermarket is 1 mile away) dining and entertainment. This house is a 10-minute drive to the SW corner of TTU campus.
Located close to everything. Quick access to everything Lubbock has to offer! Other than Uber Lubbock has poor transportation options, so it is recommended that you have a vehicle. Depending on your plans you may be able to get by without a vehicle - let us know and we can help you decide!
Our interaction with guests is very minimal. The front door has a keypad so that you may let yourselves in and out. Once you have booked, please refer to the check-in instructions for entry codes. Please only use the keypad lock to lock the door.

Shawna, is your local hosts. She is available by phone, text, or Airbnb message whenever needed. Unless it's an emergency please try to limit late night phone calls or texts. We are happy to assist guests whenever needed but we do have our own families that we take care of as well. If you need anything, just reach out.
- No Pets! Unauthorized pets will result in a $250 fine
- No house parties. Unauthorized parties will result in a $500 fine
- No smoking inside the property
- No excessive volume that would disturb the neighbors
- Clean up after yourself. This includes all dishes and food items.
- If you break something, let Garrott or Shawna know immediately.
- Please do not use the linens in the bathroom to remove your make-up. If towels are stained upon arrival please let us know.
- Do not flush anything other than toilet paper. If a plumber is required because of items flushed by your party, you will be responsible for the service call fee.
